At age 27, I had attained a millionaire status. I have seen and touched some millions, though not in large quantity but a good money at the time compared to today's value.
Around 2010, I was duped in Lagos where I lost a huge sum of money to criminals on a business transaction. It happened so fast and till this day, Lagos holds a sad memory for me.
How I survived that period only God knows. I couldn't tell anyone, cos I was so weak and shocked about it all. I sold personal belongings to offset debts and Life became somewhat tough and difficult for me but I had to survive.
I struggled to survive in pains. Honestly, I have seen worse and difficult days in life.
Sometimes in life we cry remembering the days we once laughed, and other times, we just smile remembering the days we once cried. I have gone through both.....
In 2012, through a friend's assistance I got a job in a company where I worked for couple of years but then, it wasn't my thing on a salary job. I desired going back into business, so I couldn't cope or fit in perfectly on the job. My mind wasn't just settled or relaxed.
Some of us come from families we had no advantage of wealth by default. Life has been what it is. We'll keep grinding. It doesn't matter what we've lost in life, we won't ever give up nor forget where we come from. When we forget where we come from, we have lost it all.
I'll always be grateful to God for the gift of life and to family, friends and strangers who showed up when it counts. To them I say, 'thanks for being a rock to me.' Their kindness and support means the world to me. I never took them for granted.
There's always a message and a lesson in every pain we go through in life. God favors the strong and will always provide. I believe He definitely carved my path to where I’m today and where I'm headed to.The peace that comes with pouring out ourselves to Him is unmatched.
Stay strong! You'll overcome.

Sure we don't die but we multiple...... by God's grace

ReplyDeleteLife really is a circle of sorts. There's lessons to be learnt along the way in each circle. During rough and low patches, it is always good to keep in mind that it can and will soon pass.
ReplyDeleteThank God for you Teejay
ReplyDeleteLife is unpredictable o. The thing is when we fall, we should not stay down. Like Johny Walker, we keep moving 🏋️
ReplyDeleteThis your story of getting scammed and not telling anyone reminds me of my own.
ReplyDeleteSomeone I didn't know before came to my shop and asked for goods on credit and I foolishly agreed just because of slow sales.😩 I was waiting for my money, and even went to look for the person where I was told they stay - NOTHING.
I was so ashamed of myself and refused telling anybody about it.😣
There’s foolish and there is FOOLISH…
DeleteLife is like a story book. Keep on pushing and God will see you to your destination.

ReplyDeleteTeejay's stories are half truths. He is just trying to hype himself. Pls tell us in details how you were duped. We will be able to pick the holes in your story - some of us are that intelligent. I dare you on this, Teejay.

ReplyDeleteLife nor easy, but we move regardless
ReplyDeleteHow do 419 cum yahoo boys sleep at night? How do they? I am 56 years old and I remember those days of Larry 1, otokoto, obidiozo, arusi akwuzu, ezego, they were many in those days doing evil stuff in owerri. Where are they now? Gone with the winds.
ReplyDeleteNarrow is the way…Mathew 7:14.
What I love about this story is its honesty - the kind that doesn’t pretend survival was easy. It is sacred in a way, not because it glorifies struggle, but because it reminds us that even after life strips a man of his pride, it never truly takes his will. Many people like to narrate success as if pain wasn’t part of the process, but you kept it real.
ReplyDeleteThat moment when life drags you to the floor and your pride won’t let you cry out for help, and your ego is ringing its alarms - that’s where character is built. I see beyond the loss, it's your resilience for me. Too many of us forget that failure isn’t the opposite of success, it’s part of it. You fell, you broke, but you didn’t stay down. That’s where the beauty lies.
ReplyDeleteLife has its way of humbling anyone - unmasking us without soft landings. When everything we lean on collapses, we meet our truest selves. Some people drown in that silence. Others, like you, learn to breathe inside it. Refusing to let shame silence your story.
ReplyDeleteMany of us know the quiet shame of falling from a height we once bragged about. We hide, we sell things, we smile in public while begging our spirit not to break. Yet, somehow, we rise again - slower, humbler, more human. That’s the part people don’t post online.
ReplyDeleteIt’s easy to envy a man’s comeback, but until you’ve stood before an empty wardrobe, an empty plate of food, an empty pocket, and an alarming bank account, remembering who you used to be, you won’t understand gratitude the way survivors do.
ReplyDeletePain refines people's will in ways luxury never will.
