Negatively Controversial Nigerian singer Portable, is seen in a viral video being arrested by the Ogun State Police Command at his Ogun State bar on Saturday January 10, 2026, after a complaint of assault by his baby mama Ashabi Simple.
The assault reportedly occurred on January 1, 2026, at Portable's bar in Ogun State.
Reports allege that the dispute arose over disagreements regarding Ashabi Simple's status in the singer's life, she reportedly sought recognition as his wife, while Portable maintained that only his first wife, Bewaji, holds that position.
The argument allegedly escalated into physical altercation with Ashabi accusing Portable of slapping and beating her, seizing her phones, and threatening her and her siblings with an axe.
Ashabi Simple and her siblings reported the matter to the police and Portable initially evaded arrest after police visited his residence, but he was eventually taken into custody after much struggle and tussle at his bar where he was apprehended.
The viral video shows Portable in handcuffs, shirtless, and visibly emotional pleading tearfully while seated in what appears to be a holding area. In the footage, he is heard lamenting his situation and begging for mercy saying he has no father although his father is still alive.
