Often times God works in a marvelous way we really can't comprehend, thereby protecting our joy and happiness in life.
Last week Sunday, a joyful celebration would have turned out sad if not for God's intervention.

After the church dedication of a three months old baby, the family went home to continue with the celebration.

As the event was rounding up and people have started leaving gradually, a young man walked upstairs, met a teenage girl carrying the baby whose dedication is being celebrated and said to her the little baby's father told him to bring the child to him.

Being a teenage girl without good thinking and intelligence, gave the child to the young man in belief of what he told her. The guy walked down the staircase till he almost got out of the gate in pretense as if he was playing with the child. Luckily enough, the father was standing close to the gate discussing with someone when he saw the young man with his daughter approaching the gate.

The man carrying the child didn't even know who the baby's father is else he wouldn't have confidently walked towards the gate knowing he's standing there. Thinking he was bringing the child to him only to see him walked out of the gate. Immediately he rushed him and asked, "who are you?" Quickly took the child from him and handed over to the person he was discussing with who had followed him along. Held the young man and drew people's attention. 

The young man was terribly beaten before people who knew him identified themselves as his siblings pleaded for mercy citing he's mentally unstable. Even the police that came felt reluctant in arresting him. He was let go after the severe beating. One person almost poured petrol on him.

I believe the mental unstable thing from his people could be a lie to seek pity on his behalf. What if the father wasn't standing at the gate and this thief succeeded in taking the child away, what explanation would both parents give to people of what happened?

Celebrant should be extremely careful when holding occasion especially the ones with kids. Not everyone comes with good intention(s) in an occasion.
My family would have been wiped out along side some persons if my father wasn't observant of the poison that was put inside the ogbono that was been pounded during an occasion in my village home. I was barely less than five years at the time. Sharing the full story now will make this piece a lengthy one. 

Maybe I will share more about it in another piece how the person who did it was exposed and how the poison reacted when it was kept for days covered. All I'm saying is that, carefulness should be extremely put in place during occasions to avoid negative stories or happenings.
