The First Lady also spoke on dressing, saying parents should guide young girls on decency and self worth.
She said exposing the body should not be seen as beauty, adding that real beauty comes from within.
“Teach them how to dress well. Because we see that our young people, you know, they’ve really taken it, I don’t read social media, so it doesn’t bother me. I will take it again. Teach them how to cover up, and you know, being naked is not beauty.
“You know, we don’t know why they are doing that, but beauty comes from within. You know, and our men, God will also help them and open their eyes. I know social media will go on”.

ReplyDeleteVery necessary.
ReplyDeleteIt's really necessary.
ReplyDeleteThank you for emphasizing this Mummy π
ReplyDeleteThank you Ma'am.
ReplyDeleteThis is important.
The rate of indecent dressing among young girls is alarming. I accosted two ladies last year. They had their entire boobs and ass out. Immediately I told them, they suddenly became conscious and started covering with their scarfs and jackets. It was as thought they never knew it was unattractive and shameful.
So what do you tell young boys? Abi na only young girls need advice nii.
ReplyDeleteThe worse part is that that level of indecency has been taken to the church. Imagine a young girl leaving her parent's house to the church wearing crop top and very tight trousers with her small nyash.
ReplyDeleteI've to call the attention of the mother today in church, her reply was that she'll tell her to drag the top to cover her tummy.
Nigerians are such hypocrites! This woman's generation wore mini skirts called mafo gutter and very tight bell bottoms with crop tops and afros. Go and watch a dance show that was reigning then called the Bar Beach Show. Yes there should be modesty in dressing but policing what girls wear is not the priority for Nigeria right now.
ReplyDeleteWill they listen to their parents when most are now bigger than their parents, some of them are they breadwinners of their homes,so their parents can't say shit to them..
ReplyDeleteSome mothers see absolutely nothing wrong with their daughters dressing indecently
ReplyDeleteThey rather take pride in the fact that their daughters are fashionistas in tune with modern fashion trends
These weird women will be proudly showing you their daughters’ TikTok videos where they are dressed indecently and behaving immodestly
That thing surprises me to no end
Wonders!

What about her own daughters?
