The matter was struck out on Tuesday April 21, 2026, by Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja after police prosecutor, Victor Okoye, informed the court that he had received instructions to discontinue the seven‑count charge filed under the Cybercrime Act, relying on Section 108 of the ACJA 2015.
Okorie’s legal team, led by Emerie Onyemelukwe, raised no objection, paving the way for the court to discharge her.
The case originated from a petition by actress Mercy Johnson‑Okojie, who accused Okorie of cyberbullying after she allegedly used demeaning expressions against her in online posts.
Okorie was arraigned earlier in the year and granted ₦5 million bail, while her co‑accused, Ifeoma Mbonu, reportedly remains at large.
