Court Sets New Date For Hearing On Fresh Probe Into Singer Mohbad’s Death.

The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed May 28, 2026 to hear a suit seeking a fresh investigation into the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba (Mohbad).

The case was filed by Break the Silence Foundation, a non‑governmental organisation pushing for the Nigeria Police Force to reopen the probe into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death in September 2023.

The group is asking the court to compel the police to conduct a new, thorough investigation, invite Mohbad’s close associates, wife, and father for questioning, and prosecute anyone found culpable.
