The party has pegged its presidential form at N60 million—comprising N20 million for the Expression of Interest form and N40 million for the nomination form.

Family sources said the actor passed away on Monday, May 1 after a protracted battle with cancer.

 Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has declared his intention to contest for the Agege Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives. Obasa made the announcement on Tuesday during a stakeholders’ meeting in Agege, saying APC leaders in the constituency urged him to join the race.

 Commissioner of Police, Edo State Police Command, Monday Agbonika, on Tuesday, said that 55 suspected kidnappers were arrested and 58 victims were rescued between March and May 2026. While presenting the operational scorecard of the command at a press briefing in Benin, the CP said the results were achieved in a major crackdown on violent crimes across the state.

 Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, on Tuesday said Nigeria could no longer rely mainly on borrowing to fund development, warning that the country must build a sustainable fiscal system capable of supporting critical sectors of the economy. Oyedele stated this while speaking at the 28th Annual Tax Conference of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria in Abuja.

The member representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chinedu Obika, has said his decision to join the Nigeria Democratic Congress was driven by the political direction of the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi. Obika, who won the seat in 2023 on the platform of the Labour Party, said he remained in the party despite its prolonged internal crisis because of his loyalty to Obi and belief in his leadership.
