The mother of late 21‑year‑old footballer Victor Udoh has reportedly insisted on the arrest of her son’s close friend and his girlfriend following suspicions surrounding the alleged food poisoning incident that led to his sudden death in Abuja.
According to emerging reports, the grieving mother raised concerns over the circumstances leading to Victor’s collapse after a night out with friends. She allegedly insisted that those who were with him last , including his friend and the friend’s girlfriend be taken into custody for questioning as investigations deepen.
The arrests were reportedly made to help authorities clarify what happened in the hours before the young footballer was found unresponsive. While the official cause of death has not yet been confirmed, the family is said to be pushing for a thorough probe to rule out foul play.

This is the reaction I was waiting for.
ReplyDeleteI strongly suspect foul play
Waiting for results from the autopsy to prove my suspicions wrong.
May his soul rest in peace
ReplyDeleteIf it wasn't only my mum's food that I ate this Christmas I would have accused any other person whose food I ate of trying to kill me. I was narrating everything that happened to me to a family friend when she told me of someone that went to prison for two years because of this kind of allegation and what the person gave to the accuser was biscuit o. You can imagine. I even took dates and milk same last year which nearly took my life. That was my first time taking that milk. It's even an original milk for that matter . If someone else prepared the smoothie for me I would have accused the person of food poisoning right?
ReplyDeleteWhat if your mother tried poisoning you?
DeleteAbi no be all of us dey read am for chronicles here.
Nobody wants to lose a child that young but it could have been anything, bad alcohol, food poisoning from microbes in the food, even the tattoo ink is not safe. He is very well tattooed, did he recently get inked? When I was a child we were warned against using a pen to write in our palms or on our skin because of it being unsafe; the today people are tattooed from head to toe, who knows what is in any of the ink.
ReplyDeleteMay he rip.
No stone should be left unturned. Proper investigation and autopsy to determine the type of poison. RIP young champ.

ReplyDeleteLosing a son and anyone at young age is harrowing especially, a promising child.
Holy Spirit comfort his mom and all those who mourn.
I often remember my cousin who lost her 21 year old daughter some years ago. Sge was an only child for a long time before the birth of her brother. π
Let's be guided, food poisoning could be something that he ate that is not good for his body, it doesn't really mean they put poison in his food. Again, they should check if he is into substance, substance overdose kills too. It could be cardiac arrest. " Please I am not supporting his friends" they should carry an autopsy for proper investigation.
ReplyDeleteMay God Rest His Soul π

A full toxicology report should be what the family pushes for. The toxicology report will tell everything that was in his bloodstream good and bad.
