Former Minister Amaechi Rejects ADC Presidential Primary Results...

Former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has rejected the results of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential primaries, alleging widespread voter disenfranchisement and electoral malpractice.

Amaechi, in a statement posted on his X handle on Tuesday, described the outcome of the exercise as “concocted results.”

''I REJECT THE CONCOCTED RESULTS OF THE ADC PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARIES

Following reports of widespread voter disenfranchisement in most parts of the country during the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Primaries yesterday, I unequivocally reject the concocted results being announced.

I had initially stated that I will only accept the outcome of the Primaries if the process was free, fair, and transparent, and I stand by my word. I will not accept results from a process that does not reflect the values that the ADC had pledged to uphold, to rescue Nigerians from the impunity and gross mismanagement that our country is currently facing in the hands of the ruling party.

There’s no way that about eighty percent of members of the party were not allowed to vote, and you expect me to accept such results. Then what makes us different from the others? The whole idea of the ADC was to give the Nigerian people a platform, to amplify the voices of the downtrodden, and make Nigeria a better place for everyone irrespective of backgrounds, ethnicity, or religion.

A party that criticizes the ruling APC and INEC for vote buying, rigging and writing of results, cannot be engaged in vote buying, writing of results, and other electoral malpractices that leads to the disenfranchisement of voters who are party members. This is not acceptable!

- Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi

    1. Funny how you guys like to deify this your Peter Obi and make him.appear very smart.
The major question is why did he join ADC in the 1st place, even a little baby knew from.day 1 that the party is Atiku's property.
So your oga was rather foolish to have joined ADC, not smart at all

    2. 08:10. Thank you for pointing out the obvious. He joined in order to guilt trip the financiers and forgers of the ADC to drop their ambition and vote for him, to give him their structures that they have built with their own shishi..

QqHe was ambushing them at home one after the other telling them he is entitled to the ticket of a party he did nothing to build or buy. He had no idea how to campaign state to state or utilize the golden opportunity of having the NOS. In other words, he was looking to be coronated as a despot or for adoption by godfathers who are his age mates since he has been unable to win any election or primaries without godfather or presidential backing.

  2. Malpractices even with primaries, I wonder what the general elections will be. There must be a winner. Must Rotimi be the one?
