Former Communications Minister Isa Ali Pantami has withdrawn from the APC governorship primaries in Gombe.
A statement by Barr. Ibrahim M. Attahir for the Pantamiyya Movement said Pantami quit over alleged violations of the Electoral Act 2026 and the party’s failure to provide information needed for a transparent primary.
His lawyers’ letters to APC officials were reportedly ignored.
“Non-compliance with the Electoral Act 2026 and party guidelines renders the exercise unsafe and illegitimate,” the statement said.
