IGP Disu Bans POS Operators Near Police Stations Nationwide

The Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, has ordered that Point-of-Sale (POS) operators must not operate within 200 metres of police stations and formations nationwide.

The directive, already circulated to all commands, warns that senior officers will be held responsible for any violations.
Police authorities say the move is to curb bribery and corruption, as some POS outlets around stations were allegedly being used for illegal financial transactions.

They can the POS operator on the phone to bring the small machine into their office and after using it, the operator will leave with machine in bag.......
