An Akwa Ibom State High Court sitting in Uyo has sentenced 50 year old Edet Akpan, a married father of five, to 21 years imprisonment for impregnating his side chic’s 14 year old neighbour.
The judgment was delivered on Thursday June 11, 2026 after the court reviewed the disturbing details of the case which occurred in Nung Udoe, Ibesikpo Asutan local government area, at the residence of Akpan’s side chic.....
According to judiciary reporter Harrison Essien, Akpan, a commercial tricycle operator, had gone to visit his mistress but met her absence. He then targeted the teenage neighbour while she was bathing and assxulted her.
During the court proceedings, Akpan openly admitted to the act, saying he held her and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her because nobody was in the compound. He added that now that she is pregnant, he would take care of her until she gives birth.
The court rejected his defence and found him guilty, stressing that his confession and the evidence presented showed clear exploitation of a minor. Justice was served with a 21 year prison sentence....

There are people on this blog supporting the vile evil of polygamy and infidelity from their one bedroom flats or where they are squatting with relatives. You see grown males and females who's education was financed by the nation state demanding for trillions to be borrowed to finance failed subsidies and passed unto their grandchildren instead of needed infrastructure since they refused to produce anything of note. They forget that trillion naira banks and other businesses were successfully built with lanterns and generators in the same Nigeria.
These bottoms of the barrel crabs cannot continue to be carried by any society looking to prosper. Wrap it up and call it a day with these guys. Build more prisons and stock them full with terrorists in the bush and in the open. Which society will you release him to when he has nothing more to lose? Leave some allowance of land behind the new prisons for things like these to bury themselves when they expire if the details of cremation are too stressful to learn or practice.
