ReplyDeleteThis was called 'look' or something like that. If you didn't have it then you're not a bigz girl.
It looked so good with pop socks then. It was a nice rubber sandals but I never wore it. I guess it didn't have my size.

ReplyDeleteLol. Na me be dis sandals. Na dis sandals be me. Kai! Nostalgy!!!. My classmates were like 'Bassey, are your kidneys tied to this type of rubber sandals. fling this thing away nau.' As e dey cut na so I dey give my aboki brothers dem to mend am. If e no con good again na to go market go buy the exact same type and the circle continued. Until one faithful day wey I decide say na kitto I go switch to.
ReplyDeleteOh my! I remember this shoe, it almost caused me depression as my mama no get money to buy am for me that year o. We were so poor my mum couldn't afford it after paying my tuition (I lost my dad at age 9). When she eventually gather the money to buy it for me, the second day I wore it to school, my cutlass mistakenly cut to the front during manual labour, so my toes in the front were directly on the ground (fear no let me show my mama, na back of kitchen door I dey park am whenever I am back from school), and na so I dey wear the shoe till it finally kpeme oh. I can buy a million of any kind of shoes today, and I can afford to take my mum to any destination in the world now. Thank God for all her sacrifice.
