Nigeria Police Rescue Former Minister Adelabu’s Sister And Her Twin Sons After Gun Battle With Kidnappers

The Nigeria Police have rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John‑Paul, the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, along with her 12‑year‑old twin sons, Peter and Paul.
The victims were freed alive on Saturday during a coordinated rescue operation.

Channels Television reports that two suspected kidnappers were neutralised during a gun battle with police operatives, and two firearms were recovered. The family had been abducted at about 7:30 a.m. on June 3, 2026, while on their way to drop the children at school.

Police sources said sustained intelligence tracking and tactical pressure forced the kidnappers into confrontation, leading to the successful rescue. Security personnel are still combing nearby areas for fleeing members of the syndicate, some of whom are believed to have escaped with gunshot wounds.

    1. May be trauma smiling or smiling that hes been rescued, he may not understand the fear the way we saw it..In his mind everything might like his play station game.....
if you watch the video, you will see that both the boys were stripped naked..
look at the womans face, you will see fear and shock.......The boys may not feel the impact of this but that woman will never recover from this.
Thank God they were rescued, i read somewhere that they were local kidnappers trying to use the recent kidnap scare to make money

    2. Thank you Stella, some people don't understand trauma and like you said the boy is young, the smile could have been a nervous smile or even a traumatic smile. Nervous or trauma-induced smiling—an involuntary defence mechanism where the brain uses a smile to regulate overwhelming stress, numb pain, or manage the discomfort of recalling a traumatic event.

    1. Adela I paid heavily to get his family out but our government that keeps depriving us of the shared resources doesn’t believe in bringing out funds to track down and bring them out of captivity.
On the other hand, I hope the people directly involved havรฉ Clean hands towards their plight because I keep wondering why the government is exhibiting ร  laissez-faire attitude towards them.

Dear Lord, nothing is hidden from you, kindly bring everything to light. Amen ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

  13. Thank God. These are likely opportunist amateur criminals who rode on the fear of others taken by bandits to cash out. The ones who survived should be forgotten behind bars or dangled from gallows.
