I took History classes with Prof Osagie and I am bold to say that he is a good man and was good to me during my sojourn in the University of Benin...While some lecturers were busy trying to off pants of female students, he busied himself with being my guide through tough times and had a special likeness for me cos I share the same name with his wife...He would always say to me.......''I don't know why I like you this troublesome babe, maybe it is because you and my wife share the same name''
His Always jammed packed, untidy office was my to- go place when I needed shelter from stress and tough times.....
I will never forget this man and this post is to celebrate him....
Thank you sir!
Make una help me celebrate am!

DeleteHe wasn’t a good lecturer during my time as a post graduate student. Very lazy man, hardly came to class, the few times he came, was to make jest of students. But one thing stood out, he had integrity.
DeleteCongratulations on your retirement prof.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Epa

ReplyDeleteI wish you a peaceful retirement
Happy retirement Sir. May God bless you.
ReplyDeleteBut thruth be told, high percentage of my lecturers then when I was in school in the 90s were sadist. I wonder what make them to behave like that. Coming abroad for studies years later was a very big contrast. My Lecturer here wants me to prosper and flourish.
ReplyDeleteI think Nigeria University needs to put in an independent check and balances to check those excesses.
Wow this nice, some lectures are just too exceptional, I remembered one of my lecturers too Mr Andrew Tafamel of the dept of business administration (UNBEN) back then, he was kind hearted and realistic. He was so different from other lecturers.
ReplyDeleteHappy retirement to him, God bless him
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Sir
ReplyDeleteMy Class (Alumni) hosted our lecturers in 2022 and that was several years after graduation.
ReplyDeleteWe were the first set ever to do that and they were so happy that we honoured them.
Some have become professors and two of them are now Vice Chancellors of different universities.
Happy retirement Sir
