Nigerian Govt Suspends Proposed WAEC And NECO Exam Fee Increase After Netizens Rejected It....
The Federal Government has stopped plans to raise registration fees for the 2027 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC) and National Examinations Council (NECO) exams. This came after Nigerian Netizens heavily criticized how the higher costs would make it harder for families to afford secondary school exams.

ReplyDeleteThey should also look into GCE. My son registered for GCE (exam in October) and I was shockked hen hubby came back to say it was 40K. We heard official rate is 27k but due it been awarded to vendors as contract we got at 40k. Hubby was told by one of the vendor that WAEC give the contract to different vendors in different areas who now monopolise and determine what the price is.
ReplyDeleteHow can exam be given as contracts? I remember when I wrote same exam 1998, you walk to the bank to get the form. Now that it is even on line, why not make it open instead of contracting it?
I hope you sees this, you or your husband should have gone to WAEC office to buy the form at the official rate , guess you were looking for private center.
