Ogun State In Panic As Bandits Storm Hostel And Kidnap Eight Students .

Eight students of Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Sapade (GAPOSA) in Ogun State were reportedly abducted by armed men on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
The incident occurred at a students’ residence in Ipara, located in Remo North Local Government Area.


According to local reports, the gunmen entered the lodge at night and took the students away. Following the development, the institution cancelled all examinations scheduled for the next day.
Security operatives have begun a search for the abducted students, while residents, students, and staff have been advised to remain vigilant.

Authorities have not yet released official details on the identities of the abductors or the condition of the missing students
