Tinubu said Nigeria needs the innovation, experience and patriotism of its highly skilled diaspora professionals to build a resilient, world‑class healthcare system. He praised their recent nationwide medical outreaches, describing
them as proof of their commitment to humanity.
He highlighted ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening primary healthcare, expanding access to quality medical services, improving welfare, boosting medical education and research, and reversing brain drain through better policies and digital health infrastructure.
Abike Dabiri‑Erewa said the visiting doctors, trained in Nigeria and successful abroad, are committed to contributing to the Renewed Hope healthcare masterplan. Minister of State for Health Dr. Iziaq Salako added that the diaspora collaboration will now become a yearly programme.
The delegation included several distinguished medical professionals such as Dr. Jide Menakaya, Dr. Kunle Akanbi, Dr. Uche Menakaya, Dr. Itua Iriogbe, Prof. Afekhide Ernest Omoti, Dr. Cliff Ike, Dr. Gertie Anyanwoke, Prof. Rotimi Jaiyesimi, Dr. Hamid Balogun, Dr. Sadiya Gumi, Dr. Benjamin Anyanwu, Dr. Emilia Iwu, Chike Nweke, Wendy Olayinka, Dr. Timileyin Oluseye, Dr. Charles Adekunle and Tayo Erogbogbo.

It's a welcome idea urging Healy professionals to come back home and make it a better place but the question is, has the government prioritize security and necessary facilities to encourage this?
I watched an hospital recently where flood swept off so many things and we keep budgeting billions on this but all to no avail.
Anyways, it is well. I don't like discussing about politics shaa.
