DJ Timmy (Otis Ayodele Kubeyinje), a UK-based promoter, claims Timi Dakolo owed him £4,106 for costs like venue bookings, graphics, visas, and other preparations for a UK tour that never took place.
Timi’s legal team from Whitestone Solicitors and Consultancy issued an official statement on July 18, 2026 and made it clear that:
-- There was a written Performance Agreement for the tour.
-- The promoter (Revolve Entertainment) was supposed to handle all production costs, including sound, lighting, technical setup, local arrangements, visas, flights, accommodation, and transport.
--- The only costs Timi could be asked to cover were advertising and promotion — and only if he and his team approved them first.
-- No deposit was payable to Timi under the agreement.
-- The tour did not go ahead because the promoter failed to meet basic professional standards for the production.
The lawyers say Timi “unequivocally denies” owing any money and described the public call out as defamatory and damaging to his reputation. They also accused the promoter of cyber bullying, harassment, intimidation, and trying to blackmail Timi by sharing private information and making personal attacks.
In the statement, they demanded that the promoter and everyone involved:
1. Stop all false statements immediately.
2. Remove every post with false claims and private information.
3. Publish a clear public retraction.
4. Issue a written public apology within 7 days on the same platforms.
5. Stop any further harassment.
If these demands are not met, Timi’s team says they will pursue full legal action in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom

ReplyDeleteBecause the other guy said so doesn’t make it to be the truth.
DeleteWho are we even to believe now? Does the said DJ have evidence to back up his claims? I am surprised as to why he's involving Timi's private life or s#xcapades in the matter though. He should go on ahead and sue him if he's absolutely sure of what he's on about.
