The Christians Barry Goldwater was referring to are the majority of people who make up the MAGA movement today. We've seen the results. Hate and intolerance has spread all over the world since those people put Trump into the white house.
Home here in Nigeria, Christians haven't united enough to become an active political block or pressure group (their leaders are still busy fleecing the flock and making bank) but one thing is certain, it isn't for lack of efforts. Christians here have made God in their image, dwell more on the teachings of Paul as against the loving gospel of Christ and are generally a pain in the ass. Practical cults that's what they all are over here.
Why expect much from people who have outsourced the ability to critically think to what 'daddy' said?
Are the atheists and people of other faith ruling different countries and Nigeria not the ones causing all the perversion, greed, wars and unrest in the world?
