  2. No, I most definitely would not. A man who wooed me, only to be locking me and the child indoors, forbidding me to see family or friends, stealing my money and abusing me in several ways, including DV. I ran with pregnancy oh and after the child was born, I quickly filed for divorce.
The baby was the only good blessing to come from that marriage.
I carried only the child with the clothes on our back and ran. He held onto all our properties, even the toothbrush, hoping to lure us back to his evil den.
Ahhhhh, it was a 5 year battle to escape him but now we are free in Jesus name, amen!
He recently started trailing us to our church but cannot come near, as family surrounds us.

    1. Did you date wayyyyyyyy down? Most times when you date wayyyyyyyy down and your eyes finally opens to their nonsense they don't want to let go. They won't treat the lady well and still won't want to let her go

Please you should file a police restraining order and expose him everywhere possible. It's their kind that tries to pour acids on whoever leaves them.

    2. I would say now that I dated down. He presented himself as godly, educated, open-minded etc.
I met him and within 1 year, he has set marriage date and was rushing us to the altar. I married him as he was my 1st boyfriend and I wanted the matrimonial bed undefiled.
Filed a police report on him but no restraining order, as most places I go to, have a security barrier but most especially, God Almighty has kept him far from us.
The experiences I went through hmmm... nightmares then for almost 6 months straight after I escaped.
My child never got to suffer experiencing him as a father & I thank God for that.
She is an award-winning student in school and life, to the glory of God.

    3. May your child always be a source of joy to you and may God keep him away from you both. Next time be wary of anyone who tries to rush you into anything very quickly and please pray well before giving the next man a yes. Don't get into a relationship before hearing from God. God will warn you through dreams/ real life if the person isn't right for you. You seem like a Good lady , don't worry you will have your happy ending.

  5. I fell in love at the age of 20. Stars in my eyes, flutters in my heart. Looking back i am glad it never got to marriage. At that time , i saw all he did as love but now i know i would have ended up being those women who must always be around to cook for their spouse and may have ended up as a housewife. He couldn't even boil an egg and was bought up in a home where boys do not do any form of housework. he had this habit of disappearing for long periods of time and then reappearing. I would spend my days listening for his knock on the door and wondering what he was up to. He called it "wanderlust" and said that his dad did the same thing but always came back to his mum. I wonder if he changed and if he didn't how his wife is coping. We didn't quarrel, he just dropped out of my life and left me a letter that looking back was an attempt to gaslight me. Those were not the days of phones, internet as we know it etc. If it was by looks i would make the same choice but by character no.
