Chronicle Of BLOG Visitor Narrative

Hmmmm.....

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
JEALOUSY

I have a friend who smiles with me in public but competes with me in private.
Any time something good happens in my life, she suddenly becomes cold or starts pointing out flaws that spoils things for me.

When I got a small promotion at work recently, she didn’t congratulate me but instead she said I was “lucky” and that others deserved it more.

Recently also, I noticed she only checks up on me when she wants information, (well, it seems so) and not when she wants to support me.
I’m beginning to feel her jealousy is affecting my peace, and I need advice on how to handle a friend who pretends to care but secretly resents my progress.
Should i unfriend her and block her or have a talk with her about her attitude

Talk with her that what= did she tell you that she doesnt know what she is doing`???Please stop wasting your time and cut off.dump the friendship.no need for a convo!

  1. Till she poisons you before you will wise up.

God has opened your eyes to the enemy called friend and you still grants her access to you, seems you don't love your life.

Please, silently wave her off and avoid anything that has to do with her.

    Lastly, be prayerful.

    DOZZYBEST.

  2. I prefer to look let people know how I feel about them so I won't end up misinterpreting their actions. Not everybody that congratulates you in public loves you either. Some people will not praise you in public like others but they truly care

Gradually reduce your interactions. Don't post your updates where she will see. Make an excuse every time not to meet with her. Eventually cut off any communication

  4. Confront her that what happened. You have seen the signs, but still want to confront her.

  5. This kind of attitude and character is common these days among women. Here’s my advice to you.
Don’t cut her off completely, but don’t keep her too close either. Don’t share your plans with her. You don’t owe her every detail of your life.

People usually know what they’re doing. And the truth is, no mask can be worn forever. Sooner or later, a person’s true intentions will show. So don’t confront her, and don’t confide in her. Just stay focused. Let your actions and your success be the answer that surprises her. Above all, be spiritually guided and fortified. You know what that means. Such people can go diabolic as a result of envy.

I would have loved to share a similar story about my sister and her girlfriend. How it ended for you to learn and understand better. But then, it will deviate attention from your story. Hopefully some other time and I hope you'll get to read it when I eventually do.

  6. 20 friends cannot be friends for 20 years.
Don't block her just let the friendship die out naturally.

  7. Sometimes I wonder if People cannot do without "My Friend My Friend" . Especially when you dont need a soothsayer to tell you that person is clearly not what he/she pretends to be. You dont love your peace of mind. Keep doing friendship with an evil person. Some of una nor dey ever learn.

  10. I would advise you not to respond to jealousy with anger or revenge. Pray about the friendship, but also use wisdom and set healthy boundaries.
The Bible says, Guard your heart with all diligence. You can love someone without giving them unlimited access to your life.
Tell her how her reactions have made you feel without accusing her of being jealous. Then watch what she does afterward.
If she sincerely changes, give the friendship room to heal. But if she continues to belittle your achievements, compete with you, distance yourself peacefully. You don't have to block her unless she becomes toxic or crossing boundaries.
Your progress is not something you need to apologize for. Celebrate what God is doing in your life, remain humble, and let God deal with the hearts of others. 🙏🏽

  11. I concur with most of the advice. Limit your interactions with her. Unless the news is in public domain there is no need to tell her anything e.g. the promotion. Its good to have friends but not to the point where the relationship is taking away your peace. Allow the relationship die a natural death. No need for quarrels and tantrums.

  12. I honestly wouldn’t advise confronting her about it. Sometimes, you don’t need to have a conversation to confirm what you already consistently observe.

She should quietly create some distance and stop sharing personal plans, opportunities and good news with her. Be cordial, but reduce her access to your life and protect your peace.

You don’t have to unfriend or block her immediately. Just change the level of access she has to you. If the pattern continues or becomes toxic, then you can walk away completely and block her everywhere necessary.

  13. Detachment is the key to this type of friendship.Period;
    no time to pretend

  14. Don't keep her too close to you. She is not a nice person. Know the limit of what you discuss with her

  15. Which friendship are you talking about, is friendship by force? You better unfriend her, face front. Anytime she calls you for information just don't pick her calls.

You can block her and face front. If I was to be in your shoe, I will block her, she will only see me when we meet at work. I will joy greet her good morning and walk away.

  16. The wolf knows when the storm will come, or else...
The people who recommended detachment are wise. Follow their advice. Do it with wisdom, devoid of any bitterness. Your 'friend' is not alone in this. That's what has filled the world ; people are constantly in competition with those they call friends and family.
My main concern in supporting detachment is so you won't be harmed.. She can still overcome the spirit of jealousy and become really humble and grateful to God and man for the little things she has.
Pray for her. Do that only when you have protected yourself by way of complete detachment in the spirit. Both of you might be together at a place, but you are very far away from her.

  17. Let her jealousy not surprise you so much. That is the way the world is. This psychologist Judith Viorst, wrote that the Proverb a friend in need is a friend in deed isn't always right ; that most of the time you can't use it to Guage the depth of love your friend has for you. She said instead, that a friend who is happy that you rose and passed them is a true friend indeed.
With this, you can clearly see that it is not only this your particular friend who is guilty, though more will unravel in the future as you excel above them.
