  6. My mother fried akara for almost 30yrs. She never used juju. On the same street, there were upto 5 other people selling akara. It was a popular street in Abuja.
The business get ups and down, but definitely not for the lazy.
Those days we just lived by selling akara, day and night, in any whether, rain or cold. I do not wish it for my children or any other child.
Even now, sometimes I just remember how our day-to-day used to be, and thank God that I can stay without worrying about going to grind beans or run one or two errands for my mum.
It never made us rich, but it helped curb hunger to an extent. There was always something to eat but also debts to pay.
You don't have to join anything to do akara business except you are already a witch, devil or perpetual bad person.

    1. Lol 🤣. It's the witch part for me. Maybe one can easily fry akara in Abuja without being attacked. But you see Lagos, Ogun and Oyo States, it's a must to join ''The Club/Coven'' before one can succeed in the akara business. They call it ounje agbalagba, and it's not just the one fried with palm oil , only that the palm oil akara is sometimes used for special prayers and or sacrifice.

One Igbo lady started her akara business in front of her house at Iyana Ipaja that year, she made sales for that day o, the following morning when she opened, one mama walked up to her and asked why she hadn't come to see "US" . Instead of asking what the mama meant, she only said she dey busy so the mama walked away. The mama still came again the next day and told her that shebi I ask why you never come see us And you never answer me. She still didn't ask what she meant and the mama walked away again. Before she go sell her market finish, flies from nowhere gathered all the akara and that was the beginning of her downfall. Nobody told her quit the business and she never saw the mama again. Some people in the club/coven have build houses with their akara business money, some have bought cars and also sent their children abroad. Lol 😂

  8. I've heard that before but i think it's the one made with palm oil( Akara elepo), not too sure though, also watched a lot of movies, showing those witches dealing with people frying with palm oil, that's why you won't see much people in that palm oil akara business.lol.
