She shared her thoughts in her own words:
"I just knew that I wanted a child and it wasn't happening the way that I wanted it to happen. That was an option that was open to me. I just knew that God would see me through. I didn't know what to expect or how the world would perceive it, at some point, I didn't care. What bothered me was would I be able to love her as much as if I was the one that carried her? Would she be an okay baby? I had those questions that bothered me. But of course, with a lot of research and weighing my options, I realised that there was really no difference."

ReplyDeleteSurrogacy is nothing new though. It’s been happening since time immemorial, humans just love to forget. All those handmaidens who got pregnant and handed the children over to their ladies to raise as their own were surrogates. Thousands of years BC.
