Hon. Chinedu Ogah, who represents the Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, made the call in a widely circulated video. He questioned Cubana Chief Priest’s background, his source of income, and what gave him the right to openly criticise Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru.
Ogah went further to accuse Cubana Chief Priest of alleged money laundering, claiming the socialite is among those trying to weaken support for President Bola Tinubu in the South‑East.
He urged the EFCC to investigate his financial activities.
His reaction followed Cubana Chief Priest’s recent public criticism of Governor Nwifuru, where he asked the governor to step down, noting that after nearly three years in office, no major project had been commissioned by the President or any visiting governor. He also said Ebonyi was lagging behind other South‑East states in development and accused some leaders of lacking vision.

ReplyDeleteI'm no CCP fan but him being a citizen gives him the right to criticize any elected official. His Nigerian born citizenship is enough to criticize fckry if he sees it. Investigating him is not going to fix poor governance. Investigating him is not going to improve the quality of life for those at the bottom, something government is responsible for. Bad roads, bad schools, bad hospitals, and ppl are expected to remain silent while they suffer.
ReplyDeleteAs matter of fact the presidency is responsible for ensuring that the governors are effective and their work reviewed regularly with not only looking at paper reports but actually reviewing the physical improvements made, if they are consistently ineffective then they should be removed. The presidency is also at fault for keeping ineffective leaders on.
I blame Mr President especially for the underperformance of the state governors. After removing petrol subsidies and handed the money to the governors, he should have constituted committees that will monitor what they governors were doing with the money. There are zero projects in most states, the citizens are left more impoverished. What stops the president from going round to know the projects being done?
