Fashion Designer Veekee James Says She Will Not Sew A Dress For Less Than One Million Naira

Veekee James has stated that her work does not come cheap. She explained that she has invested heavily in her craft and did not wake up one day to start calling high prices. According to her, the value, the detailing, the long hours and the inspiration she prays for all contribute to her pricing. She added that those who understand true value will get it when it is their time.

  9. I'm sure she will be charging more now because that video is an old video, everyone has his/her target audience and she is not forcing anyone to patronize her.

  11. Pride goes before a fall. Veekee so you can't sew a dress for less than 1m well done. As a fashion designer remember that many came before you. It's just a matter of time. You must be able to accept people from different income level.

  13. She gives nothing but premium. Her crafts speak volumes.
There is a difference between ' Onye Obioma' tailor, ordinary tailor and a fashion designer. It is called standard.
    Veekee James hands are blessed.

  15. Anyone can set their price, it’s up to the buyer to decide if they are interested. Folks seem to love her work and are willing to pay her price and that’s their prerogative, nothing wrong with staying in the luxury lane and charging luxury prices.

I feel that there are many designers and dressmakers who are just as good as she is, even better. Her work lacks diversity and shows limited range to me, but that’s my opinion. Some designers stick to one signature iconic design, Herve LΓ©ger’s bandage dress or Diane von Furstenburg’s wrap dress, and Veekee James’ corset dresses, nothing wrong with having a signature design, but at that price point I don’t want to look like anyone else. Do you Veekee, continued blessings and prosperity on your industry.

  16. That’s £557 for a dress πŸ‘—. Is her finishing worth it? If yes then she is competing with some of the designers abroad.

She is more expensive than Coast, phase eight, monsoon and the likes of them. She is good shaa! I like her dresses but I will not use that much money to buy a dress that I will probably wear once in a while. I wish her good luck.

  17. She’s in a class of her own , when it comes to her creativity & she doesn’t duplicate a style.I know some designers that tried copying her style for their clients but couldn’t & that’s Veeky 4u.Her creativity, her price , her exclusive clients.
