It is determination. It is focus and readiness that make it work out fine.
We live in a distracted generation. Everyone wants to do everything at once. Everyone wants to be everywhere at once.
We start ten things and finish none. We scroll through other people's lives while our own is on pause, and then we wonder why nothing is moving.
Being determined means you have made up your mind. Come what may, you will get there. Rain or sunshine, applause or silence, you keep moving. The road may be rough, the progress may be slow, but your eyes are fixed, coupled with readiness.
Readiness makes things work faster and becomes magic to you when there is a positive turnaround. You can't be determined and focused without getting the necessary things ready for any luck that comes your way.
Being focused means you have shut the noise out. You have said no to good things so you can say yes to the best thing. You are not chasing every opportunity. You are chasing one thing until it answers.
Focus is expensive. It will cost you friends, it will cost you comfort, it will cost you the pleasure of pleasing everybody. But whatever focus costs, distraction costs more. You cannot be focused and be everywhere. You must choose. What is that one thing that truly matters to you this season? Your studies? Your craft? Your business? Your family? Give it your full attention. Water it daily. The world does not reward the busiest person. It rewards the most consistent person. The person who shows up when others have given up. The person who keeps knocking when others have walked away.
Determination says, "I will not quit." Focus says, "I will not look away." And when you combine both, you become unstoppable. Readiness says, "I am prepared when the doors open."
I remain loyal.
