In a detailed demand letter issued by her lawyers, Bella is asking for ₦19.826 million and £10,237 as repayment for property and funds she claims he took and never returned, ₦500 million for breach of marriage promise, and ₦2 billion for the physical, emotional and psychological trauma she says she suffered during the relationship.
She also demands the removal of her pictures from his social media pages, a retraction of defamatory statements and a public apology. Her lawyers gave Sheggz three days to comply, warning that failure to do so would result in a lawsuit and an additional ₦5 billion claim for exemplary and aggravated damages.
Bella and Sheggz met during the 2022 BBNaija Level Up season, and their relationship became one of the most talked‑about storylines. Their romance continued for years, including periods of living together in the United Kingdom.
According to Bella’s lawyers, she endured repeated verbal assault, emotional manipulation, physical violence and an alleged attempted murder through asphyxiation. They claim Sheggz locked her inside his house, restricted her movement and took possession of her personal belongings, including items she says he has refused to return or account for.
Sheggz has denied all allegations insisting the relationship ended because of trust issues. He maintains that he genuinely intended to marry Bella and had even purchased an engagement ring. His legal team previously issued a cease‑and‑desist notice accusing Bella of defamation, but her lawyers dismissed the claims as baseless and insisted she suffered reputational damage, emotional distress and financial loss due to his alleged actions.
The once‑celebrated relationship has now escalated into a full‑blown legal battle and their Online in laws are so sad at this development...
He has taken down all her photos but did not issue issue any retraction or apology...This is gonna be a long one and between them only God knows who has the correct story.
