Actor Ibrahim Suleiman who is married to fellow actor Linda Ejiofor, opened up about how they navigate arguments and keep their marriage working despite both being first-borns and naturally stubborn.
Ibrahim revealed that in the early days of their marriage, they used to quarrel frequently but his wife soon realized that if she didn't grab the quarrel "by the scruff of the neck," it would escalate. He said Linda would kneel down and beg to end fights, which he described as divine wisdom that always worked. He also said "Someone told me one time that the best way to end an argument is to argue N@ked, I have tried it, and it worked."
He explained further using a market/mud analogy, saying couples should choose the least stressful route rather than dragging themselves through the mud. He concluded by claiming that though he is a goal-oriented person and has blind spots, he tries to have a bird's eye view of issues and see marriage as partnership, not competition.

Omo these days I say sorry sorry sorry and move on
ReplyDeleteBefore my husband leaves the house, I still make sure we hug and peck.
Na quarrel, no be end of marriage.
These days too, I try to be less emotional because if you ascribe meaning to every thought and sigh and hiss, you fit kpai.
What I do is that later on, I bring it up to my husband and we can talk about it.
Marriage will teach you wisdom if you agree to learn the wisdom
Great couple 😍
