Actor Uzor Arukwe Explains Why He Believes Marriage Is Harder For Women
Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has shared his honest views on marriage, saying he has never been a strong advocate because he believes women carry the heavier burden in the union.
Speaking on the In My Opinion Podcast UK (EP 226) Uzor said women often give more than themselves in marriage ;from childbirth to losing parts of their identity while trying to meet expectations.
He explained that watching how much women sacrifice has shaped his perspective over the years. Uzor also addressed the pressure society places on people to marry early, and noted that is slowly changing, as he now meets women who don’t want children at all and are living confidently on their own terms.

First of all the children born to the man bears his name, do you know how many times I had to put plans on hold because I got pregnant!! Or how I can't take some opportunities cuz I have kids?? The list is endless but women will always consider their kids and husband before any decision.
Men just carry on cuz they trust that women can hold down the fort. Which is why they can start a new family some place else, stay out late without a thought and keep multiple women outside their marraige, infact do a ton of crazy stuff
