The convicts Marvellous Isaac, 32; Wisdom Michael, 36; Rufus Emete Michael, 30; and Gift Raphael, 27 were sentenced to de!ath on September 29, 2026, by the Edo State Special Criminal Court.
Speaking at God’s People Worldwide Prayer Ministry, Okpebholo said he hopes they do not appeal, adding that if they fail to appeal within 30 days, he will proceed with the execution.
He reviewed his administration’s fight against kidnapping, cultism and violent crimes, noting that insecurity was one of the major challenges he met in office. He also warned traditional rulers not to intervene on behalf of anyone involved in kidnapping or cultism.
