They were stopped from killing it by the Baale of Okun Igando, Chief Semiu Waliu Jejelaiye, …. He told them to free it and put it back in the ocean. He also explained why it is important to protect such animals and the sea.
The fishermen and other community members carefully removed the turtle from the net and released it alive into the Atlantic Ocean.....
Thank God the Baale is enlightened and was able to convince them.
