DeleteWaju...Ogiri is different, i think ogiri tastes better than iru(locust beans), it's used as a substitute for seasoning(knorr,maggi etc)
DeleteI just discovered ogiri in 2024 and it's a game changer. When I use it to cook some soups, my entire household salivates and enjoy the meal. The smell is horrible but once it drops into the pot, it's food heaven. I am yoruba and I love Iru but ogiri is better.
