Pinkys CORNER

We were at the hospital for certain reasons and also needed to see a specialist. When we got there, we had to wait because some people had arrived before us. We sat down, gisting and watching a programme on the TV mounted on the wall.

Patients were going in and out of the consultant’s room. After waiting for some time, I decided to step outside and stretch my legs and  Boom I saw a couple arguing. It was the same couple I had seen minutes earlier coming out of the consultant’s room.

What happened?
From the series of tests carried out, it was discovered that the wife does not have a womb, and the husband was furious. He could not believe it. He kept lamenting and speaking to the young lady standing with them (I believe she might be the wife’s younger sister or a relative). He kept saying, “Will she tell me she didn’t know?” According to him, the result showed everything clearly, yet she was pretending not to know.
I didn’t fully understand what they were arguing about until one of the nurses came to warn them to stop making noise. The husband left angrily.
There is a small room close to another room, and I never really knew what they did there. I passed through that side , it’s still part of the hospital building when I overheard the exact reason for the couple’s argument. That was when I realised the room is where all tests are carried out.
The two attendants inside were discussing the matter and pitying the couple. I looked up at the doorpost and saw “Lab Room” written there.

Now, the questions:
Is it possible that the wife truly didn’t know she doesn’t have a womb, or is she pretending?
Also, is not having a womb tied to a reckless lifestyle, or can it occur naturally? Because I know a little about uterine agenesis caused by MRKH syndrome.
These questions came up when I went inside to discuss what I saw and heard about the same couple we had earlier admired, because the husband is handsome and the wife has a baby face and looks very pretty.

Hmmmm, this life no balance true true o. Let’s discuss this, in case anyone knows someone with this condition, because this is too heavy for the coup, especially the husband, who might feel betrayed, not knowing that this condition can occur naturally....

If she did not know, didnt she have periods? I think whether a medical condition or not, she knew about it and tricked him.

  1. She might be aware because there are always signs. The hospital can confirm if she was born without womb or it was removed during her early kukere waka.

Whatever the outcome, wishing the man divine wisdom to handle the outcome.

  3. Whether she knew about it or not, my mind is looking beyond their present circumstances and wondering: Can love still hold this family together after such a discovery?

  5. Abortion(I believe is the kukere way you are referring to here) right? You can loose your womb through various ways ,especially Fibroid if you are not careful. That you dont have a womb does not mean you dont have eggs(unless she didnt save hers before her womb was taken out)... the only thing is you have to use a surrogate period....and most times women are aware they dont have wombs

  6. If you don’t have a uterus you will not be having a monthly period, it’s very hard to believe that an adult woman would not know that she should be having a monthly period. If she lived in a very conservative community where such matters are never discussed it is possible that she may have not known.

Yes, it is possible to be born without any body part. There are ppl born without eyes, ears, hands, feet, malformed body parts or organs every single day. I remember a story of a teenager who discovered that she did not have a vagina, it did not develop. Nature make mistakes every single day and being born 100% healthy with no issue is already a win in life.
