I am trying to get pregnant with a baby boy, I've got girls already and appreciate
them so much but I want a boy now. I want to know when best to have
sex to get a boy.
I have been keeping track of my period for the past 5months thus:
Sept
24* 2013; Oct. 18* 2013; Nov. 13* 2013; Dec.7* 2013; Jan 1* 2014.
I usually don't have sex from day 9 to day 19 during each monthly cycle.
ie 5 days before day *14* and 5 days after. Else I would be pregnant.
I noticed the length of my cycle changed, its now between 24-26 days.

Stella, I think its quite possible to choose one's baby's sex at conception. A friend introduced me to the Chinese conception calendar (Google) and it seems to work, in theory at least. It uses ones age and other factors to determine when one should try it for a particular sex. U can try it if u remember what month u had ur babies, coupled with ur age at d time. It seems to work

DeleteThis is very possible, infact i used the method to have my baby boy who is five months now. Don't have sex frm day 9 to 13 ; however ,day 14th, 15th, 16th is the best for boys. If you can figure out your ovulation day, that will work perfect. In most cases, ovulation comes on 14th day. I hope this helps.

DeleteThe surest way is to buy an ovulation kit or ovulation strip, it very cheap in the UK....... Dont have sex until the strip shows you are ovulating , The Y sperms swims faster so if you have sex only when you are ovulating the Y sperm gets to th egg first

DeleteYeah its very possible, infact it has been proven to be 95% possible. The reason is when a man ejaculates, his sperm contains the x (female) and y (male) sperm. The y sperm swims faster than the x sperm, but the x lives longer. So 2 days or exactly 1 day to your ovulation is your best chance.

ReplyDeleteWell, from what I understand, millions of sperms are released during sex and some sperms are stronger than others.
ReplyDeleteThe stronger ones get to the egg first while the weaker ones get there later. The strongest sperms that swim to the egg first are the ones that result in male children while the weakest ones are the ones that result in female kids.
Now if you want a female child, have sex days before your ovulation so that the strong sperms wld get there, meet no egg then die while the weak ones that would arrive days later would meet the egg and get fertilised.
But if u want male children as in your case, avoid sex days to your ovulation and have sex on the ovulation day usually in the evening so you would be sure the egg has dropped.....the stronger and agressive sperms would get to the egg first, fertilise and give a male child.
So you should concentrate on knowing your real ovulation day. An ovulation test kit might help. Google "calculating ovulation" and u would even see some sites that would calculate based on your data, tell you the best time to have sex, avoid sex, etc...you would also see the natural way to determine your ovulation period.

Just go and buy clearblue ovulation monitor/kit. Avoid sex while tracking ur ovulation and only have sex the day u see the smiley and the day after. It works. I got my boys through this method. Good luck .

ReplyDeleteI use the chinese gender predictor (google it) it will tell you the right month you can concieve a particular gender using the mother's age. I also work with my cycle,very important. When I wanted a baby girl, I met hubby 3 days to my ovulation day(we have treated how to know when you are ovulating on this blog) and the result was a baby girl, remember I also made sure it fell in the month the chinese gender predictor said I am likely to have a girl using my age. I also used the same method for a baby boy but for a boy, I met hubby on the exact day I was ovulating. You have to time yourself well so you don't make mistakes. Male sperm doesn't last long inside a woman unlike the female that can last upto 3 days. So for a boy, make sure you have sex on your ovulation day ALONE. In that case the male sperm which travels faster will be able to fertilize your egg first. After sex, don't go and wash up immidiately,put a pillow under your bombom and raise your legs up,rest it on the wall or so for like 20 mins, this helps the sperm to travel faster.

Note;
if your on born on december 1990, till november 2014, you are still 23years, that's how to calculate your age.
The month you are to be in your ovulation period, is the month to target ...for instance, if your menses comes on the 25 December 2013, then your ovulation should be around 6th-10th January 2014 ... that is to say that you will definitely have a baby boy and if you want a girl, you will have to wait till april.
