Bleaching And The 'Goose Bump' Consequences.

I have nothing against people who brighten their skin but yo got to know when to stop!

You also have to learn to love your skin the way it is,I have had times that i wished that i was a dark skinned person because it is not easy being light skinned.I use something to lighten my skin sometimes but then I stop as soon as the blackhead or discoloration vanishes.

culled
The pic you are about to look is the pic of someone who got greedy trying to change her skin colour

Michael Jackson sang it doesnt matter if you are black or white right?

In this case it matters...... WTF!!!!!!!!!

  3. That's what cheap bleaching does to you. I have seen very very black gals come out with clean, shiny yellow like mine after bleaching their skin. In the part where I live,no one is dark anymore.. They all shinning like the sun. You can't even differentiate us with the natural shiny yellow and the bleached shiny yellow all cos glutathoine pills and injectables made it possible.. So many bleaching exparts.. This person must have gone to the corner

  5. You know, light skin is pretty when you are young buh wrinkles show easily on fair people, #just saying. Most dark skinned people I know age gracefully, Kate Henshaw, Genevieve, Iretiola Doyle, and yes, my mum. Most times, you can't compare them with their fair counterparts except those with loads of money. It's even worse for all the bleached out sisters, hmmm! Were ire gi, guo Eze gi onu! 2. Y do the female spp, tink being fair skinned, makes u more attractive. Av seen quite a lot of VERY dark skinned pretty women. Eg is the very dark skinned yollywood fat actress, whose lover died in her house in ikorodu (Can't rememba her name, my rson for d history) #Damn dat lady is soo foine.

    3. Y is it dat bleaching gives the nose an un-natural look? The nose spreads like an open cave, and stands stiff, wit the edges as dark as a burnt kpomo.

    1. Funbact a is a steroid, antifungal and antibiotic combination. When you use for longer than necessary the steroid causes bleaching

      Delete
    2. FunbactA and skineal are topical steroids intended for the treatment of eczema and other skin inflammatory conditions ( clobetasol propionate). People use it for bleaching and it damages their skin because those that use it to treat skin conditions should only use it for a short period.

Those that use topical steroids to bleach for a long period if time will experience what is called cushings syndrome(google it) it changes the shape of their face and causes long term damage to the internal /reproductive organs.

  54. Let me explain a bit of these things to you all. Every drug has side effects, even panadol. Glutathione is a drug recommended 4 cancer and HIV patients to help with their immunity system, but it has side effects, which reduces the melanin in the skin and makes the skin appear pale. To all who think it is safe, Pls think 2wice. After a prolonged use, it begins 2 affect the kidney and liver. So it is not particularly safe. It is just a more expensive way of destroying yourself from the inside. And to person asking about funbactA and the likes, they lighten your skin because they contain steroids. Do not be deceived by the price of what you're buying, thinking the more expensive it is, the safer it is, NO! Dosent work that way, fifi, Pela nd the rest all use hydroquinone, mecury and steriods as their base, that is why the skin looks transparent with green veins, also stretch marks. Those shiny girls you see would sooner or l8r regret their actions. If it's compulsory 2 lighten your skin, use the most natural things, like mulberry, tumeric or kojic acid. Lets be properly informed before using things on our skin.

  66. This bleaching or skin lightening issue still baffles me. The way people react to people who lighten their skins, amazes me. Why get so worked up about someone you don't even know or care about? Seriously, why the fuss? Please don't even get me started on the "be proud of your colour" or the low self esteem ish because, unless you are 100% all natural, you are being a hypocrite. Imagine having human hair or any form of extensions on your hair yet you criticise another for lightening her skin, really? Honey please! Come back with your natural hair packed up in a bun or plaited or just rock an Afro or low cut, then and only then will your "love yourself" speech make sense. If you don't have deep-rooted esteem issues, why should you be so pisssed at and abusive to people who choose to? Oh! It's ok to preach against bleaching but you attack people who are against premarital sex, sleeping with married men, cheating, drinking, partying and the works. Suddenly you tag them "sanctimonious" "holier than thou" "goodie two shoes". How hypocritical! As if you really care about the wellbeing of that person. Why not campaign against any form of "immorality" with this same passion, if you really care about humanity. Some of you are attacking ladies who bleach but you are gonna bang some poor lady's hubby this night. *side eye* please let's keep it real and allow ladies do whatever makes them happy.

  67. Oh! Lest I forget, feel free to throw jabs at me and cuss all you want to make yourself(ves) feel better but, know this: no, I don't lighten my skin because I don't need to and I was blessed to get married to the love of my life who's skin is as dark and smooth as my favourite dark velvety chocolate bar.

  68. Bleaching is not by force o hian, if you can't afford to use the right things simply maintain your skin colour mix shea butter (ori) and vitamin e oil and watch your skin glow..

  69. Hian. This one na wa ooo. To all the bleachers out there, expensive or cheap, bleaching eventually ruins your skin.
True life Story, my Mom and her elder sister seemed completely different to me while growing up. Mom was brown skinned, her sister was so Yellow and fresh, and i always wondered why. Mom's sister is mega rich so obviously, she used high end products not available in Nigeria. Infact at a time, the rumor around town was she goes abroad for some weird bleaching procedures....
Fast forward to 2014, both are well past middle age. Mom is still brown skinned and fresh, she looks nothing like her age. Ppl think she's in her early forties. Mom's sister on the other hand, hmmm. Let's just say things are not the same. Bleaching never ends well.
