-.A trader on Afro Close, Afromedia Estate, Okokomaiko, Lagos who deals on electronic appliances,, Mr. Lawrence Ikonne, has been arrested for killing a buyer, Isa Yaya, over a dispute arising from price bargaining.
Punch reports that the 22-year-old victim who is a Northerner, had gone to Ikonne’s apartment to buy a fairly used air conditioner on the morning of Friday, October 10.
They, however, had a disagreement as they started haggling over the price.

Yaya insisted on buying the air conditioner below N5, 000- a price which did not go down well with Ikonne.
As the haggling continued, a fight was said to have ensued between the two which turned violent during which Ikonne allegedly hit Yaya with a plank in the belly.
In his statement to the police, the trader said, “I had not met the young man before. I met him that morning at the Alaba market, and asked him to buy one of my appliances: an air conditioner. He actually looked like a cart pusher. When we got home, we both went in to remove the product, and we brought it outside for negotiation.
“As we continued, he said he would pay less than N5, 000. I replied that he should assist me to return it to where we took it from, but he refused. In the process, we started fighting. He even asked me to pay him for helping me bring it out. I was mad, and I hit his belly with a plank.

“When I realised he had fainted, I tied him with a rope and dragged him into a corner. I also fled the house.”
Confirming the report, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, said investigations were still ongoing.

  15. Hmmmmm!
Someone came to buy something from you and you ended up killing him because he didn't agree to your price.
    Frustration at it's peak!
What happened to friendly bargain or politely dismissing him?
People allow their emotions and sentiments control them a lot.
That's why I try as much as possible to avoid buying things from "certain group of people" in any Lagos market.
Most of these people I'm talking about are so frustrated, uncultured and very bitter. Once you make the mistake of bargaining with them, they hurl insults at you for no just cause. They accuse you of wanting to bring them bad luck by pricing their "market" below their expectations.
    Oh Chim oh!
If you don't want your goods to be priced, go get a fancy shop in a mall and put price tags on your damn wares!

Even if you don't enter their shops or talk to them, the mere fact that they called you to come and buy from them and you didn't is enough excuse for them to start insulting you.
    SMH
Luckily, these group of people are easy to identify.
Just a glance is enough to identify them...

The rate these wicked BH people are going, I fear we are going to hear of more bombings if President Jonathan wins next year.
God please help us in this country.

Yes, I think I'm a disciplinarian. I was raised by 2 very strict and loving disciplinarians(my parents). That's why I turned out this way, I guess. So it's not my fault, bear with me.

Please don't mind all my long epistles today. It's a free day kind of for me and I'm enjoying it here.
Apart from that, I don't know how write part of what I think, I write all as the spirit leads.
