    2. I pity some of you that clamour to have buhari in aso rock. He will so take disappoint you guys. Buhari is a full time religious bigot. A man that boko haram said they trusted and later asked him to negotiate between them and the federal govt! If apc desire a true change, they should field fashola. Christians open your eyes. He won't even give some of you the freedom to come here and comment as you like. Muslim bigots believe in relegating women to the background and taking away their freedom. You all would soon start wearing hijab and become house wives. You can see a perfect example with aregbesola how he ordered missionary schools in his state to admit Muslims and asked them to wear hijab.

    3. And what about Xtian women who are made to suffer for bearing only female children plus they don't inherit anything once their husbands die???

    4. All I have been saying oh...you all looking for proof here we go. Buhari the messiah of the ignorant!!! His daughter is married to an Igbo man and his cook is a Christian. I major problem with Buhari isn't his religion. This man is old and senile, he belongs to the 1980s, he has know no clear plan for Nigeria and Nigerians. His brothers up not are only interested in the oil in the south. Ruling nigeria is not his birthright, he has no respect for democracy. He was s failure as a military head of state what is different now. He should just give up already, these Hausa/Fulani folks are just overbearing. Nigeria is not theirs to rule alone. He voltrons Sisi Eko, Goldsent an co oya come to his rescue.....PH GAL

    1. He said Sharia for moslems all over the country not christians. Do you people understand english @ all? Besides it's just an opinion, everyone is entitled to one, plus this is after 14 years, his opinion was in 2001 and this is 2014. Give this man a break and stop bringing religious sentiments into good governance. Am a christian and I, my family, my neighbourhood and colleagues are surely voting for Buhari cos he is the CHANGE that we seek.

    3. Anon 12:02 am, you are the one that doesn't understand English. Nigeria has one constitution therefore laws can't be made for only Muslims in a secular country like ours. If sharia is implemented in some states in Nigeria, it would only mean that christians can't stay in those states. If you are christian woman living in such a sharia state, you can wear trousers, you can't hold your boy friend while walking on the street, you can drink or sell alcohol in those states, you movement is restricted to some certain places. Stop acting naive and grow up. You can see what they are doing to women in sharia countries.

  81. So political propagandists are now at work on Buhari. Why did they no bring this up soon? They want to use religious sentiments to kill us. They forget that this man;s daughter is married to an Igbo. His driver and stewards are Christians. They are just scared that he will fight their corrupt heads to the last minute.

  86. Stella, Buhari is a very strong contender for Jonathan. All the bigwig politicians are in APC. There is serious fire on the mountain. If it was Atiku that won it, there wouldn't have been panic in PDP. Even when I saw the votes and saw the figures, I knew that come this election of 2015, so many things will happen. So many. Now they are resorting to use different means to discourage people. The mistake Jona made was not having any tangible thing to show for in his 6yrs? In power? Come on! People are tired. For the past 3 days no light. Not even a blink, security situation has already collapsed in the country. Devaluation of our currency. The list goes on. People are TIRED. they need a change. Someone different from Jonathan. He brought this on himself. If they like, they can rip out Buhari's organs and paste in the tabloids, so long as he is still alive to contest. Na dia saka.

BUT the fact that he is a Northerner makes me perceive that thru him Islam will gain grounds in our precious country. 115. He is talking about his religion. He us addressing thge muslim religion.
Non Muslim has nothing to fear.
Its just like a christian leader saying that all Christian should be born again and canvassing for that movement.
    That's what I think though...

It's also noteworthy that all his running mates've been christians.

  127. Stella please don't say that!

this man can't be our president.

If he is not bh and knows what to do to stop it, he should do it and forget about the seat.

The earlier these igbos(Okorocha et al) following APC, realise that these people can never like or take us as theirs the better.

Okorocha and fashola could have been their bestbet. Buhari is big NO!

  129. Read and understand people. He is talking to Muslims. He didn't say he wants to force all Nigerians to accept sharia law but promote sharia law among Muslims.

    1. @dream girl, vote for him, so that by 2015 u will know if he is talking to his fellow Muslims or if he is talking to christains, or if he is talking to both christains n Muslims? I wonder how a non northerner, will still want an hausa/ extremist/ muslim in power. It baffles me.

  130. Buhari has good records when he ruled Nigerian then. People are only trying to dent his image. 2001 is different from 2014. This is democracy.

  134. Buhari said this in 2001 according to this paper. That was 13 years ago. We all know sharia law cannot hold in Nigeria which is why BH has not ventured into the eastern and western Nigeria. The only thing permanent in Nigerian 'politricks' is the interest to get to whichever office you want and partake in the national cake. None of the current participants is qualified to rule our nation period!

  135. Please disregard all controversies been created to discredit this man (GMB ). As far as I'm concerned he's d best man to rule. He myt have said some stuffs but the evil men who don't want him 2 win will always find a way 2 rephrase n blow it outta proportion. Many gr8 men n leaders have made statements which have been used agina them. Even d Pope was accused saying he supports gay or our Lord Jesus was accused saying he'll bring down d temple n rebuild in 3days. Mind u I'm not trying 2 judge my God Jesus on dsame table with mere man. I just want Nigerians 2 knw tht no 1 can Islamise Nigeria it's not possible. He Can only enforce sharia on Islamic states even if he meant so. I think d GEJ camp r just trying as much as possible 2 poison ppl mind on GMB. As far as I'm concerned Buhari is a good man n should b given a chance. And as for those seeking a fresh n young blood 2 rule Nigeria pls what happened to ur blood, is it not fresh enough or r u an outcast? If u dnt like old man Buhari then go n sleep n leave his age alone.

  136. I don't comment but I have to today. Sharia is for muslims only. Expatriates in muslim countries have never complained of being forced to be sharia-compliant. This digging up of the past is just to scare people cos they know that once he becomes President, their runs will be over. Old or not, Buhari has passion for Nigeria. If he ddnt do sharia in the first time he ruled as a General, he can't islamize Nigeria now.

  137. Funny how words come back to haunt.

  138. There is nothing confusing here Stella. We all should refuse to allow this politrickians take us for ride. We might be gullible but not every time. "it is a legal responsibility which God has given us, within the context of one Nigeria, to continue to uphold on the practice of sharia wholeheartedly and to educate non-Muslims that they have nothing to fear" those were the words of Buhari, Sharia Law is for Muslims and not applicable to Christians. Ask your self why this was not brought up the several times Buhari has contested, this is an indication of how desperate GEJ and his co-travelers are, highlighting what makes us different as against bringing unity in our diversity. I am a catholic FYI.
