PROBLEM ONE
SEVERE BELCHING AND SEVERE HEAD BURNING...

I reallly do need in-house docs help please.
I have been belching constantly (every seconds)for several years now.
once I take 2/3 spoonful(food)I get filled up and any attempt to go further results to serious tommy upset(lost some weight due to this).I have gone through both endoscopy and colonoscopy as suggested by an enterologist
(both cost 110k)but the results came out negative.
Also,there is this severe head burning i have been having lately which keeps me awake all night sometimes.
Stella,the pain is just too much to bear.
I found out online of recent that these symptoms are also related to that of COS(candida overgrowth syndrome).I guess I have to see a gynae then..but Stella,I have waited endlessly for Doctors resumption as I cannot afford a private clinic at the moment.
Please I need an in house gynae's help (seriously begging).God bless you as you do this..God bless you 2 Stella..thank you!

I 'm an ardent reader of your blog, though i'm very passive commentator but i need your medical advice regarding my brother's very hard palms as this is becoming so embarrassing to him, several times his spouse complains so much about it and he has tried a lot of hand creams but none was effective.

Pure shea butter on both palms after which he should wear cotton gloves on both hands to bed at night after a warm bath every night for 7 consecutive nights. In the morning wipe off, apply hand cream with cocoa butter.

If you did the above investigations and the outcome is normal, then its psychological. You trained your self over time to be belching every minute, you have to work on yourself to stop. As for the burning head, guess you are having migraine... anagelsics help. Don't confuse yourself with online information. Doctors are not on strike, we still run some skeletal services, since its outpatient, you will definetly be seen.

If you are in Lagos, go to Randle general hospital around ojuelegba. They will attend to you, but don't know about you seeing a gynae. Make enquiries. My neighbour has been going there since december till now to see gynaecologist and she has been getting treatment but has to go out to get drugs.

Now that stella had no suggestion, nobody has found anything to say. If stella had said its as a result of 'costipation' or any other thing, most people will have commented on that alone. Follow follow people with no mind of theirs!
ReplyDeleteDear Poster; Don't be so quick to conclude that its candida overgrowth.
Belching is the body's way of expelling or letting out excess gas in the system. But when it gets too excessive, it could be as a result of the weakening of the valve called the oesopheagal spchinter.
Some foods contribute to weakening this valve e.g fatty foods, fried foods, chocolate etc. Try to avoid these things, and you could notice a change.
Also avoid cold carbonated drinks and beer.
Don't rush your meal while eating, eat slowly!
Above all, see a doctor as soon as you can.

Point of correction, dere is a difference btw doctors and other health workers. It's other health workers dt are on strike, not d doctors. Even if u see a doctor for consultation, tests will be done outside d hospital Whc are going to be expensive... Frm d look of ds history, it's likely a problem of d esophagus or stomach but to differentiate between the two, I need to ask you more questions. Do you feel pain on swallowing, any history of difficulty in swallowing associated with chest pain do u have upper abdominal pain? For how long have you been having ds belching, is dere any history of vomiting or any history of mouth odour, any history of heart burn or upper abdominal pain in d past. Cos it's very difficult to make a diagnosis with ur history of belching and weight loss. Depending on ur answers to d above questions, proper examinations and investigations can now be done to get a diagnosis... So my candid advice is for u to visit a military hospital for proper evaluation, it's not as expensive as a private hospital.

ReplyDeletePoster my friend experienced same problem 2years ago did several test but no solution if not for an elderly man that came to visit her neigbour and suggested she drinks 150cl of water not ice just ordinary early in the morning before food then 75cl in the afternoon and 75cl in the evening before we knew it under 2weeks till now she has not experienced it again.I never knew just drinking water could work wonders.There's no harm in trying.wish u luck.

ReplyDeleteDoctors are not on strike, only the paramedics are. And we are seeing patients too. Paramedics are not even on strike in Ekiti and Ondo states (sure of these 2), and probably in some other states.
I really do not have anything to say but God will surely heal u.
ReplyDeleteAs for the candida overgrowth syndrome, Vaginal passeries: klovinal once every night for 6 days should help. And no sex during this period. The other symptoms u complained of seem more psychological to me. However, taking suspension gascol may be helpful, if chronic dyspepsia is the issue. U should see ur famliy doctor if u don't feel better. God bless u stella
ReplyDeleteDear friend Pls drink 100% organic cranberry juice for your belching and eat a handful of almond nuts for your burning head. Also boil d back of unripe plantain skin and ginger. This works faster. I also have had such an uncomfortable event like this. I pray it works for you. Also see a doctor.
