Post NYSC Awarenes Playlet

If you are Corps member about to pass out,or you just had your pass out parade (POP) then this post is for you.

''.........So Stella, i have people who just passed out of NYSC today and it occurred to me that similar trends from scammers to unsuspecting graduates who now see themselves in the job market will continue so i decided to help create awareness because their details (name, contact etc) will definitely go to wrong hands. It happens each year...so please let everyone read on and please pass this to loved ones to so they will not fall victim:

A conversation between Peter (Scammer), Njideka (Batch B corper who just passed out and whose middle name is Lilly -Everyone knows her by the name Njideka though), and Chinenye (Njideka's sister)

Peters text enters Njideka's phone: How are u LILLY,we were in the same platoon at camp. My uncle has 5 slots at NCC and the application submission is ending by 9 today. Call me now if you want a slot.

Njideka calls: ring ring ring.....

Peter answers: Lilly how are you, you remember me, we were in camp together. Are you interested in the position at NCC?

Njideka: yes nau, ah ah. Why not, we are all in this together, the country is difficult so any opportunity at all

Peter: ok very good. I resumed there yesterday and he told me to find 5 close friends and I decided to call you.
The form is N20,000 and application closes by 9 today, in fact he just told me now that's why I'm calling you now.

Njideka: 20,000??

Peter: It's even very small, I paid 100,000 for my own, so you are lucky. Because of you, I'm going to the bank now so send the money now now and call me back. I have to come back to the office before 8.30 otherwise you loose out.

Njideka: are you serious, where will i get 20,000 from now

Peter: Just ask anybody around, you'll soon receive your salary and pay back

Njideka: ok I'm going to bank now and will call u back in 20 mins time

Peter: ok, call me back on, I'm even in the bank now as I won't want you to loose out on this.

Njideka: ok God bless you so much

Call ends...

Njideka: ring ring ring (calling Hubby), no answer.

Ring ring ring….. calling Chinenye

Njideka: someone has a slot in NCC and it's just 20,000, I'm going to the bank now to send the money to him, see how God work, no stress. Thank God.

Chinenye: who called you, when, do you know him, Whats his name etc

Njideka: Peter, he was in my camp but I can't remember his face but he sounds genuine, he has even resumed.

Chinenye: you don enter 1 chance, better sit down and sleep, no job like that exists. In fact you'll receive more texts and call from today.

Your NYSC magazine carries your full details, names, number, so that's where they get details; if not for me you would have been 1 mugu.  Thank me later

Njideka: how do you know Chinenye?

Chinenye: where you are now, I was 4 years ago

End of playlet

that was how one retired officer they posted to our office in 2005 to take care of the office since it was the reigning thing to post retired officers to man the office. the man collected the sum of N350,000.00 from one lady that he will give her work in my place.
Everyday the girl keeps coming and would not tell anyone the business he was having with the army officer until the man disappear.. when the lady could not see him, alarm blow ... fowl ynash come open. N350,000.00 just go like dat.

My organisation is a very big and popular.

He sounded so genius calling my name and all but where he goofed was that he said we bothserved at ikeja local govt, I told I served at oshodi that he shouldn't worry he can give the slot to his sis. He was pissed off but not more than me cos hubby laughed his heart out that day since then my name became oil company.

  26. Same thing happened to me like 3/4years after service. A guy called me saying we served together, even gave me his Nysc number and that He has a job for me in PH. I was skeptical and so asked him why an Oil company would be interested in giving me a job since I didn't apply and have never really applied to any company for a job? I told him I wasn't jobless and therefore not interested. He called back again to say, I should give the slot" to any of my relatives, he said I shld pay 80k before the end of the day, I asked for his Nysc number again and told him I wld get back to him. I just went to where I kept my Nysc magazine, checked but didn't recognize the face so when he called again to ask how far with the name and money I gave him enough insults and curses. I just kept wondering how many People would have been victims to the scam.

  33. This shit happens always, the stupid one that called me 6 yrs ago after NYSC, unfortunately for him my middle name appeared as first and first appeared as initial, my 2nd name happens to be my dad's first name. So immediately he started with having Agip job for me, I told him to drop it, bcos if he had known me during NYSC he won't refer to me by that name. He never called again

  36. Some guy I don't know tried to do it to me. I know just answer am,said he has 3 slots in NNPC I told him I am not interested not because I have a job but because I don't believe the BS he is talking about. So I told him since he claimed to like me he should pay for me and when I get the job I will Pay back double the amount, and he hung up. A year later he called back and lashed him like never before.

We served together at bla bla LGC at bla bla place...I have an oil company job for u...I'm like motherfucker how did u get my number cuz 1st of all don't nobody and I mean nobody call me/ no me by my middle name but family n childhood friends....nigga said nysc magazine... Boy did I drive 40mins that day to go get my hands on one? I sure did! Upon getting home, I flipped the pages to my number... Brace urselves for what I encountered, my info was given to a Yoruba chic while the Yoruba chic profile was given to me.... Oh my world! Did I laugh my butt off that day? Cuz homeboi didn't even know whom he was talking to first of... Texted him never to call my number for that nonsense n to go get a better job than scamming folks..
