    1. Anytime I go for a funeral and see people eating, drinking and making merry, I always feel like knocking the food and laughter out of their mouth. We went to greet a very young widow(26years old) who has 2kids and while consoling her some elderly women came to ask her where she kept the meat cos they had been served rice without meat. My mum had a field day using their dialect to insult them. They answered back saying " the man was dead and no amount of tears could bring him back, after crying comes food to replace the energy they lost. I just hissed and felt like banging their heads on the wall.

    2. Not all funerals re filled with sadness my dear. I just lost my grand mum who died @ d age of 112. My mum was just moody all day but I didn't see or hear her cry. Infact she planning 2 bury her mum in a grand way. That is what I call celebration of life.

    3. Hahaha, where is the meat ? Shameless people. It is understandable and worthy of celebration if the person is at least 60 and above.

I recall when we were bereaved many years ago and some of our relatives turned it to a feast, eating like food was going out of extinction.

      Whirlwind

    4. Choi some people are shameless. Why eat at a burial where the person died young? Can understand if it was an aged person. I shudder.

  4. So because the person is owning you, you have to finish all the food meant for about 3 guests? God will see us.

  5. Lol... I don't even know why food should be eaten in funerals especially when a young person dies... I see peeps struggling for food and souvenirs at funeral of a very young person and I feel bad. But if the person dies at an advanced age, well,I guess its okay.

  17. Lol. Some people do. I find it quite irritating. If you're attending an event, wedding or funeral, it should be so cos you want to honor the person with your presence. Not to eat rice. That's why people are always disgruntled whenever rice no reach them.
