Onward Paper Mill Partners With Ozolua’s Empower54 for IDPs

The famous paper mill company, Onward Paper Mill, has partnered with Empower54 to design and produce note books that will support the NGO’s existing educational programs. The beautiful exercise books were created with sensitive factors in mind such as religion, indigenous language and images children relate to. 

Many IDP camps have makeshift schools for the children to be educated in but lack teaching, reading and writing materials.

Since February, Empower54’s Rise Above Terror campaign has created schools in IDP camps, given the children uniforms, shoes, writing materials and hired teachers to teach hundreds of internally displaced children.

Empower54 will distribute the specially designed notebooks by Onward Paper Mill to the schools created within the IDP camps for the internally displaced children to use during classes and also to schools destroyed by Boko Haram in North East Nigeria. 

According to Ozolua, “it’s our firm belief that ALL children, regardless of background, are entitled to good education and opportunities to brighter futures. We appreciate such partnerships because donations don’t necessarily have to be money. Onward Paper Mill’s commitment to encouraging education for all Nigerians is highly commendable and we appreciate their generosity towards underprivileged children.”
