I am a very consistent blog visitor whose baby just got admitted in pediatrics ward, Unocal teaching hospital.....
A 3 year old girl was brutally raped and stocks put in her privates. She was stabbed multiple times in her face and legs. According to the uncle who brought her in, she was playing when the cousin said they have not seen her for a while, when the grandma raised alarm, they searched and found her tied up.
As I type this, she has just been taken for the second round of surgery and I heard the culprit is in police custody. Please help broadcast this so it does not get swept under the carpet. Thanks ''

DeleteI was raped when I was 19 years old. Before that, the same man used to touch me inappropriately when I was 6. Funny enough , the guy was a 'trusted' relative. 6 years after the rape (I was aged 25) , I killed him. I managed to get a gun from my then boyfriend who was a cultist. Went to his house in the middle of the night and killed him. I knew the case would not be followed up in Nigeria. Especially as the guy was a nobody. I never felt guilty or scared. Till this day. I am now happily married with 4 kids.
If I could turn back the hands of time, I would do the same thing again. But this time, I would make sure he's kidnapped and tortured for a month and allowed to die a slow painful death.
My heart goes out to the little girl. Her life may never be the same again.

ReplyDeleteI remember when I went o visit my aunty in calabar in 1997 summer holiday. An okada rider brought a girl to my aunts place. My aunts bro in law had been sleeping with the girl. This is a grown man of over 40. The girl was about 7 years old. Her mum was late and her dad used to ride okada so she was always with the neighbours and their kids. And this useless man was a neighbour. He used to give her 10 naira then. Until one day she couldn't walk anymore. Her dad told her to come let him see. Lo and behold this girls privates was torn and wounded!! Sores allover very disgusting. As the neighbours asked her she called his name. When they went to him he jumped out through the back window and escaped. As his brother was a big man nau,they came to the house to come and and make trouble. My aunty was so confused that day. She had to rush the girl to the hospital and they went to the police to make a case. The man was in hiding for several months. I don't know how it ended cos my holiday was cut short. I remember the lady in my aunts bq saying it happens alot in calabar. As of back then. That was the end of bicycle riding for me and my sis until holiday ended.
