Actress Georgina Onuoha Defends Apostle Suleman ''He Who Is Without Sin,Cast The First Stone''

Nollywood actress Georgina Onuoha has risen up in defence of her Friend Apostle Suleman whose Ministry is going through a storm after he was called out by One Stephanie Otobo.
Georgina says Anyone who is without sin should cast the first stone.....

*Drops stone, steps back and walks away with head bowed*

"Before you come embarrass yourself on my write up, think twice!! And give me evidence showing that you are without sin. So be warned!!

It is time for Nigerian media and blogs to have some decorum.

I am still waiting for Nigerian bloggers to carry this story but I'm yet to see.

Only God who lives in secret place, sees things done secretly. Leo Mezie was almost dead from failed kidney, Apostle Johnson saved his life by giving him 8 million naira according to leo without knowing him. Majority of our colleagues Male and Female are benefactors of this man's goodness and kindness. Go through his events and videos you will see almost all of Nollywood around him.

He is known for blessing actors with cars and starting business for them. He is a friend to majority of us plus including me. Majority of Nollywood players travel to his events home and abroad, people stuck him in towns and hotels wherever he lodges to preach or pray asking for prayers and help. He has supported majority of us. Seeing all these makes my heart bleed.

No man is perfect. We live in a world were it is easy to make and break people and have angry mobs clap because they feel entertained. It is sad!! Let any of you that have not sinned be the first to cast a stone at him and his ministry. Do we know what our priests, prophets, pastors, Imam, and numerous spiritual leaders do?

Most of us don't even know what our significant others do right under our nose, yet we laugh , curse and feel entertained at other people's pain and difficult moments. May almighty God grant us and this nation Wisdom. My people perish for lack of wisdom. Jesus we adore was called names, because he kept the company of Mary Magdalena known as a prostitute guess what? She was the first to see him after his resurrection.

Where are all the Nollywood benefactors of this preacher? Males and Females , old stars and upcoming ones? We all see your pictures with him.. You all are now radio silence? May God have mercy on us all. May God heal all involved in this.

  2. ‎I'm going to try to keep my opinion on the guilt or otherwise of the man in the eye of the storm while I address the issue of bastardized Scriptural verses. Perhaps, one of the most abused Bible verses is this "he without sin should cast the 1st stone." Misunderstanding is inevitable when people quote scriptures out of context instead of reading the entire chapter to understand why certain words were uttered and to whom the words were uttered.

The abused verse is taken from John 8:7. The Pharisees and the Scribes brought the woman caught in adultery to Jesus. It was actually a test to see how Jesus would react, as they always did because they were quoting the Mosaic laws regarding adultery. But as usual, Jesus beat them at their own game when he asked the person without sin to cast the 1st stone. After they all left, what did Jesus say to the woman? He said "...neither do I condemn you, GO AND SIN NO MORE." He didn't say "because you are human, go and keep sinning." For all we know, all the men wanting to stone the woman to death were all adulterers pretending to be holy.

Another abused verse is "Judge not lest you be judged." Matthew 7:1. Most people use this verse to shame a person who tries to criticise weak morals or questionable behaviour. If you read further, you will see that the message isn't about not judging per se, rather it's an admonition that if you judge harshly, you will be judged harshly as well. More like "do unto otherwise what you want to be done to you".

Going by how people quickly quote both verses out of context, there will be no moral justification to query a person for bad or immoral behaviour. So what happens when a person decides to practice Bestiality? You love your dog so much that you decide to engage in sexual intercourse or a brother starts harbouring sexual desires for his sister. I guess "he who is without sin should cast the 1st stone" should be enough to make us look the other way, no? At the rate we are going, we will soon find ourselves in an moral cesspool because we are scared of speaking out and shaming bad behaviour. We forget that "judgment" acts like a form of check and balance. Without considering what people would say about certain actions, immorality or poor choices will not be kept at bay. Whatever moral sanity we still enjoy exists because people are ashamed to exhibit their various proclivities, they rather satisfy them behind closed doors.

Men of the cloth who act as a spiritual leaders and role models, are held to higher standards. Yes, they are human but they must learn to discipline their human urges or step down from the podium till they learn how to. They can't do what "mere mortals" do and not expect serious criticisms. It really doesn't matter if you are the most generous man in the country, if from your waist down refuses to conform with the standards laid down by the scriptures, give up your title, become a regular person struggling to abide by the christian doctrines and continue with your charity. The moment you give yourself a particular religious title and become a spiritual leader, you must be morally and spiritually upright. Should you fall into sin, you're expected to repent, ask for forgiveness, be under probation for some months then be "reinstated" to your original position. The title "man of God" is sacrosanct and carries certain responsibilities with it. If you aren't deserving of it, refuse to be addressed by it. Calling out a spiritual leader who transgressed is an acceptable form of judgment because they judge and sanction erring members/followers, therefore registering disappointment at such a leader who appears to have a contrary lifestyle, is a natural consequence. However, we should choose our words wisely and not throw caution to the wind while doing so.

  3. I must say that the world has truely gone worse than Sodom and Gomorah. Imagine people now use the holy scriptures to defend an adulterous, arrogant, unrepentant "man of god".

I left my church for this same reason. I have found the one and only true religion and it is Jehovah's Witnesses.

They are the only religious organization on earth today that preach the undiluted Truth form the bible, and ironically they are the most hated. They are hated because they expose the false teachings of these fake churches.
May God continue to strengthen them to continue to preach the truth about the good news of God's Kingdom to the most distant part of the earth until the end come.

  4. I totally agree with you, anon 10:25. I have been studying the bible with them for sometime now and I must admit JWs are on point. Beliefs that I used to think were scriptural like the immortality of the soul, the trinity, Christmas... are not biblical teachings. My bible study with them has truly helped me to realise that we need to reexamine our beliefs and see whether they harmonize with the Bible. This is the only way we can be sure that we are practicing true Christianity. Most of us just accept religous beliefs and practices without researching these things in the bible for ourselves. No wonder Jesus said the word of God is like hidden treasures. We need to dig deep into the scriptures for the truth.

    1. Jehovah witnesses don't preach about giving your life to Jesus christ, they just talk about God's kingdom. Be careful! the whole aim of Christianity is to draw all men to Jesus Christ. God himself said that he has exalted the name Jesus above every other name, that at the name of Jesus every knew shall bow. People be careful! we convert Jehova witness, just like you cover Muslims and other non christians.
