Billionaire Cosmos Maduka, CEO of coscharis motors in an interview outlined the 5 levels of money.

he said

“There are five levels of money and the least level of money is what you call cash. The first level of money is what we call credibility. It is things you do on a constant basis over a period of time that are recorded that people can trace to and people can say this is who this person is.

The second level of money is what we call credible relationship, you don’t have cash but you have me and I can avail my credibility to you. If you go to coscharis today, the cheapest car we sell is a Chinese car and it is 32 million. 

If you ask us to give it to you in two weeks you will pay. You know we will not give it to you because we don’t have a record of your credibility. but if Dangote calls us and says you are in our place and we should let you go with a range rover which is 450 million or rolls Royce which is 1.4 billion that in two weeks you will pay and he knows you, if you didn’t pay, he will pay. Do you think we will let you go with the car? 

We will, why? Because Dangote gave his word, he availed his credibility to you. You don’t have it but somebody availed it to you. You don’t have cash but you have somebody who can give you his credibility that is another level of money. And that is why I tell young people, if a rich man gives you cash, he has cheated you, what you need is access, let him keep his door open for you that you can call him and he pick your call because that can put billions in your account not 50k,100k, 1m. What you need from a wealthy man is access.

The third level is one of the scarcest commodities in Nigeria and you can only make profit in a product that is not available and that is called integrity. It is not in plenty of supply, not many places you can see it. So, what is integrity? It is not what you will do when people know, integrity is what you will do if you know there is no way it can ever be discovered. Nobody can find out what you did and you still choose to do the right thing.

The fourth level of money is what we call character, and is the foundation of any man’s life. If a building wall cracks, it may be repaired but if the foundation has a problem, they will say bring this building down. Character is not what many people understand it to be. God is character, God is holy. The word holy refers to God. Character is like the alphabet. 2 is 2 in China, Japan, Saudi Arabia. It doesn’t become 3 in China by 3 am. Any man or woman that has character will be successful and will make wealth. But it doesn’t come easy.

The fifth level of money is what we call competence. You know what you are doing. It is not just enough to speak in tongues, pray because some prayers we are making are useless. We pray in amiss, when you are not doing the correct thing. You need to be competent; you need to be properly schooled. That is why people need to give themselves a mentor.

The last and least level of money that everybody understands is cash anybody who you see that has money and doesn’t have these five things is a thief! He stole the money because money is an exchange for a value so if you have it and there is no value you delivered to get it, you stole it! That is why I don’t respect many people no matter how much they have, I don’t envy them, I don’t feel excited, terrific about them because they cannot show the means. That is why I don’t respect a lot of people with al depth of sincerity”
