The man With drama so dramatic that you'd think you were in drama school...
He says
''I heard an unpleasant story on my travel to a village in Umuahia last week. A young man in his 30's was killed by the youths of that community.
What really happened?
The deceased was jazzed by some 419ners. So he went to a POS operator and initiated a transfer of eighty thousand naira. (80,000) ....
Why would a POS operator carried out a transaction without receiving cash or even a card to do a withdraw and transfer from a customer's account?
Sometimes, the greed of the exorbitant charges on customers won't let them think straight. That was the case of this young man. After the woman had carried out the transaction, she requested for cash. The young man tendered his ATM card with a zero balance.
Immediately she noticed the zero balance, she shouted ''thief o, thief o.'' That was it. The youths descended on the young man. He was beaten mercilessly and on interval, water was poured on him. He was forced to call the recipient of the money which he did. The voice heard at the other end denied receiving the money and requested he resend it into another account. It became clear it was 419ners that he had transferred the money to. The beating continued, this time it was more intensive...
A police officer who passed by tried to rescue the situation but to no avail. The Mother of the young man was called and when she heard the story, pleaded they shouldn't kill him and requested for the POS operator account number.
She immediately transferred ninety thousand to the POS as instructed by the youths. Unfortunately, the young man later passed on. He couldn't have survived all that beating...
They all ran away on hearing the news including the POS lady. For weeks, that area was deserted when the police began mass arrest. When investigation began, the POS operator's was made to pay 1.5million. The husband who stays abroad sent the money. The families of all who had hands on the young man's death were made to also pay five hundred thousand (500,000) each. A total of eight million was given to the deceased mother for her son's death.
Eight million? Does it worth a human life. What a loss!!!!
Taking laws into one's hand as a form of justice shouldn't be encouraged anywhere in a sane society. As a matter of fact, it should be made punishable under the law. The issue of jungle justice in Nigeria need to be addressed extensively. It doesn't matter the offence committed, the law enforcement agencies should be the first point of call to hand over a culprit.
Indeed, it could have been avoided.

ReplyDeleteChai..
ReplyDeleteEven though jungle justice is not the way, sometimes I don't really blame people that do it in this lawless country where criminals and evil people always have their way with the law.
This is what happens when the justice system is corrupt

So I said I'll give you one gist today, I don't know if this post will be approved cos e look like a digression..
Anyway, within the week, I remembered that your reply under my comment wey you talk say I no go father your kids π€£
Wetin make me remember na when one of my G call me say him married ex won nack am come dey use 3some tempt am, Asin she knows say him no go won do as she don marry, but as she dey tempt am to carry one other babe join body, the temptation don too strong for am to resist π€£..
Omo I no even tell am to resist anything as I dey always do before.. if any man no do due diligence well go marry rubbish, make them help am n@ck him wife anyhow,. Next time him go wise.. I remember when this same babe was about to be engaged 2 years ago, and how she went to see this my G to have nasty nacking session, unto say her bobo don return from jand, and then dey do her introduction the next weekend..
A wise man once said- it takes 4 to make a distance relationship work, and he is right, tho I believe it takes more than 4..
As Una dey date babe wey no put eggs for one basket, just know say she got continue for marriage..
The mistake must people make is to think theirs is an exception,. You wrong bro, your babe dey burst it wide open like ShopRite door and screen like a banshee while at it., but continue playing yourself sha.. just make she near me, she come go fine get soft bum bum.. I no go even resist anything.. no be me say make you go marry street property..
.............
A leopard never changes it's skin..
I wasn't on this blog then but I have seen accusations here that a certain madam quack was a known and active supporter of putting eggs and various baskets, and you wonder why now she makes excuses and justifies paternity fraud,. If you know you know π
.........
When you talk about these things they do, they'll come and be asking where you meet these women and be saying you attract your kinds, like they're not The Women.. same people giving advice to women on how to lie, be deceitful, pretend, make false accusations and even k!ll, yes k!ll- as seen in Thursday's chronicles,. Even a newly married one too oh,. Omo men dey marry sha, na man just marry amotex wey drop that kind comment so.. like I have said, I no dey pity any jonsing man again . if you like don't do your due diligence before you marry, when they end up k!lling you, they'll still come and play victim here that women are always blamed for everything and say you d!ed because of the lifestyle you were living..
If you like don't use your head, I no fit force anybody..
Blessings GeeππΎ
The day a married woman said in my presence that, women cheat more than men especially the married ones, I just smiled and said the truth is eventually been established.
DeleteOn this very blog, I have seen and read it all.
Did you see the comment of yesterday on the gist post where a married woman was looking for a hookup App for married women looking for nack? It's who they are though there are few exceptions.
At the end, we accept the love we think we deserve. Our self-perception of worthiness influences the kind of love we allow into our lives. If we believe we are worthy of good women, good treatment, we are more likely to accept and expect it, while those who believe they are not worthy may settle for less.

ReplyDeleteThis is sad but sometimes I don't blame people who carry out jungle justice but it's so unfortunate that sometimes innocent people are killed, if you see what thieves did to someone I know early this year because they wanted to grab her phone you wouldn't feel pity for any thief
ReplyDeleteOnwuwa!!
ReplyDeleteI hate jungle justice eh, so many innocent people have died from jungle justice.
So sad,
This is really sad. May his soul rest in peace
ReplyDeleteJungle justice isn't just it at all. We just have to be careful with carrying such out.

ReplyDeleteMay God Comfort The Guys Family.. Soooo Sad
ReplyDeleteHello iya Boys
Jungle justice is wrong but IPOB and ESN are right.
ReplyDeleteDon't assume all other women are like your mother.
I don’t like this type of story - such a mother’s nightmare. A life was stolen in broad daylight while a community watched and did nothing but bleed their guilt into violence. That boy didn’t need punishment; he needed help. But in a place where fear now wears the face of justice, he was handed death instead. What a tragic symphony of an orchestra where every player missed their cue.
ReplyDeleteEven though it suits some narratives, some circumstances, still, many situations do not warrant it. Because jungle justice is not justice at all; it is rage dressed in cowardice, and it feeds on the carcass of lawlessness. The POS lady let greed blind her. The mob let anger swallow their humanity - greed was the matchstick, and the mob’s hysteria, the fuel. Sometimes it's the easier means to serve justice, until it hits home.
That boy died not just by beating, but by a society that handed its sanity to chaos. You don’t pour acid to clean dirt. We must stop normalising brutality as justice. As a people, we need to start advocating for the use of our heads before our fists, else we’ll keep exchanging innocent lives for senseless vendettas. If we keep letting chaos lead, it won’t be the last human buried before his time.
And now, a mother is left hugging money that can’t speak, can’t breathe, can’t call her “mama.” That eight million is not restitution, abeg - it’s hush money paid to a grieving womb that will never forget the pain that struck her with an indelible scar that may likely take her to her grave earlier than be
