STAND ALONE NARRATIVE

A NARRATIVE THAT TEACHES

This scary incident is not a Nollywood script, it happened some months ago.

Timmy, is a bubbly young man, who is preparing to become an undergraduate. He's the son of a single mother who lives in the US. Timmy's mother ensures he lacks nothing, she sends him pocket money every month, clothes, phones and even a laptop. Whatever Timmy needs his mother sends.

Timmy, stays with his grandmother whom people believe to be a witch. 

Timmy's grandmother is a landlady, if you move into her house as a rich man, you will move out as a poor man, begging for food to eat. It's so bad that even house agents don't take their clients to her building. So because of that her building is always empty.

Timmy, has a best friend called Precious. They are the typical definition of bromance. Anywhere you see Timmy, you will see Precious. They practically live together. Precious has access to Timmy belongings and money.
There's nothing Timmy wouldn't do for Precious. But that isn't the case for Precious, who bears a heavy grudge in his heart against Timmy. He was just waiting for the right time to unleash. Unfortunately for Timmy the right time came for Precious.

They were all hanging out as a friend's house when suddenly a phone went missing. Immediately Precious said he saw Timmy with the phone, since they are best friends everybody believed Precious. Timmy was shocked. How can his best friend accuse him of something he didn't do.

Precious, insisted that it was Timmy that took the phone,that he saw him take it. Immediately things escalated and they started beating Timmy.
They dragged him to his grandmother's house and reported the incident to her.

 Instead of her to beg them and maybe call her daughter, Timmy's mother, so she can send some money to replace the stolen phone. Rather than do that, she chased them away and told them to do whatever they liked with him, that it is none of her business. Wrong move, that was the last time she saw her grandson alive.

They decided to take Timmy, to the police station on their way to the police station they ran into some area boys that decided to settle the issue in their own way. The thing is this area boys all knew Timmy. He has been good to them in the past that is why nobody understands why they could carry out jungle justice against him without verifying if he actually stole the phone or not.

That was how they started beating Timmy, until he passed out they thought maybe he just fainted they carried him and dumped him in front of his grandmother's house. Neighbors took him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

 Meanwhile the phone is still missing, despite all the beatings Timmy received he still insisted on not knowing anything about the phone.
Now that Timmy is dead precious cannot go back to Timmy's place to stay so he decided to stay with another friend on the same Street. 

Around 2:00 a.m. someone started screaming.'' I took the phone, I took the phone, please don't kill me I will confess''. 

The person started screaming and running down the street, people started coming out to see what was happening. Behold it was Precious screaming down the street like a mad man. They now told him to calm down and explain what is going on.

Precious, started confessing. He said Timmy snatched his girlfriend and that got him very angry, he said Timmy felt because he has money he can do whatever he wants and take whatever he wants. He said he started plotting against Timmy, because Timmy saw nothing wrong in what he did instead of him to apologize after sleeping with his girlfriend he just laughed over it like it was nothing.

 Precious said his plan was to embarrass Timmy and not to get him killed. He said they should help him beg Timmy that he didn't mean to get him killed. That Timmy is chasing him with a knife. 

Timmy's mother petitioned the commissioner of police. The police came with their van and arrested everyone involved, that was how 2 teenage boys wasted their lives for nothing.

God forbid!!!.....What kind of friend cannot tell you that you hurt them but plot against you? God abeg oh
