Ahead of his scheduled case before the Federal High Court, in Abuja, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has sent a letter to the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, alleging a hidden genocide against Judeo-Christians in the South-Eastern part of the country. Kanu claims his terrorism-related trial is politically motivated.


 The Benue State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two unidentified suspects found in possession of human parts. The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Emenari Ifeanyi, said the suspects were apprehended on October 22 in Okpokwu Local Government Area by the Benue State Civil Protection Guards, who later handed them over to the police.

 Tragedy struck in Jos, Plateau State capital, when a passenger train rammed into a commercial tricycle, popularly known as Keke NAPEP, killing four passengers at Fototek Junction in Jos South Local Government Area. Eyewitnesses said the accident occurred when the tricycle rider, in an attempt to beat the oncoming train, ignored repeated honking and warnings from a railway flag bearer stationed at the crossing.

 Tension has gripped Sokunkpan village in Tsaragi, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, following the gruesome lynching of the community’s Chief Imam, Alhaji Abdullahi Audu, by an angry mob over allegation that he was responsible for the death of a villager. Meanwhile,Kwara State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of four suspects in connection with the mob killing, describing the incident as “tragic and criminal.”

 President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday responded to the threat of military action in Nigeria by the President of the United Stated of America, Donald Trump. Tinubu assured that his government was engaging with the world diplomatically over the situation between the country and the US.

 President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in Dr Bernard Mohammed Doro and Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN, as Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Speaking shortly after the swearing ceremony witnessed by members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), the President promised that even though the task ahead is immense, his administration is engaging and terrorism will be defeated.

 Part of the campaign office of President Bola Tinubu in Makurdi, Benue State, has been demolished by officials of the Benue State Urban Development Board. The building, which also serves as the state secretariat of the Ahmed Bola Tinubu Support Group, had its perimeter fence pulled down during the operation, said to have occurred on Thursday.

A Lagos popular entertainer and nightclub owner, Mike Nwalie, alias Pretty Mike, was granted N50m bail on Thursday following his arraignment before the Federal High Court in Lagos over alleged drug-related offences. Nwalie, who owns Proxy Lagos Night Club, was arraigned alongside the club’s supervisor, Joachim Hillary, 32, by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.

 The Federal High Court sitting in Benin, Edo State, under Justice B. O. Quadiri and Justice Prof. C. O. Obiozor, has sentenced a 49-year-old drug baron, Alaba Monday, and 10 others to 79 years in prison. This was disclosed on Thursday by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Edo State Commander, Mitchell Ofoyeju, in a statement on Thursday.
