NSCDC Busts Baby Factory in Badagry

Even making babies is someone's day job? OH DEAR!!!

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Lagos State just carried out a successful raid on an illegal baby factory. The operation took place in Okuju, Ilado, in the Badagry area. NSCDC Officers rescued 18 pregnant women and 10 children from the site. They also arrested two suspects (Joy Okeke and Raphael Agwu) who were running the place.

According to reports, the factory sold newborns for up to N1 million each. The pregnant women, aged between 18 and 35, were recruited through Facebook. They were paid between N500,000 and N1.8 million to hand over their babies after birth. Out of the 18 women rescued, 17 are still pregnant while one had a miscarriage just before the raid.

The NSCDC Lagos State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Keshinro, confirmed the details to journalists. He said the victims are now receiving proper care and support.

  4. No victims in this story. These women were criminals selling their innocent children. Lock them up.

  6. These will continue for as long as the stigma against ADOPTION exists.
The process of adoption must be relaxed and made less cumbersome.
Enlightenment of the public regarding adoption must be encouraged by the church and the Government
