Singer Reekado Banks Clears The Air On His 2020 Clash With Wizkid Where He Was Called Names

In a recent interview with Teddy A, singer Reekado Banks spoke about his old quarrel with Wizkid. He said he is tired of people always bringing up the topic in interviews.

The quarrel started in October 2020 during the End SARS protests. Reekado’s team released and promoted their joint song at that sensitive time. Wizkid, who was actively supporting the protests, got angry.

He called Reekado a “fool” and a “clout animal” on social media and asked him to delete the post.
Reekado explained that the issue was not his personal fault. His manager released the song without first informing Wizkid properly. He stressed that artists often suffer from decisions made by their management teams. He added that he and Wizkid have since settled their differences privately and Wizkid even visited his restaurant to apologize.
